Thinking about the story as to how I got into astrology make me SMILE BIG. Here is how it
went...
At the time, like many people, I had done what I "should" do. Go to school, get a college degree, get a "good" job. I was working for a member of "Big Pharma". I was so excited to get that job! It was well-paying and had so many "benefits". But MY SOUL WAS CRYING OUT for more, for something different, than just having job and getting paid.
Something was happening to me. It was difficult to describe, and most people around me didn't understand. I was "WAKING UP" to the understanding that THERE IS MORE TO THE UNIVERSE, MORE TO LIFE, than I had been taught. I went on a mission to bring light to the mystery. I started studying everything I could on the topics of spirituality, intuition, alternative healing, herbs, essential oils, psychic phenomena, hands-on healing and so
much more. All the while, working 60-80 hours selling drugs.
One fated day, at a concert, while waiting on line for the restroom, a sassy petite blonde pointed at me from earlier in the line. She said, "...You have to be my friend...". There are many more fun details about that moment, that night, and the years since then. But here is a summary relevant to my path with
astrology:
This woman, a school teacher at the time, was also a brilliant, precocious astrologer. She waved her finger sometimes in this certain way, which I have come to call her "truth" finger, like she did the day we met. When she did this finger wave, the things she said would happen always have.
When
she first looked at my chart, she waved her finger and said, "You are going to be an astrologer. You are going to do it professionally, teaching and helping people all over the world." I said,"Actually, I took an astrology class and I hated it, so I don't see that. It is so full of scathing generalizations, I don't see how I can help anyone that way!"
So we see how the truth finger
prevailed this time and countless others. We started an exchange where I would take her headaches and back pain away, and do emotional clearing work, and she taught me astrology. After a while, I started waking up to dreams of angles in charts lighting up before me. That is when I started astrological "night school" :) I started doing charts professionally shortly after then. That was 13 years
ago.
As things started to manifest the way she said they would, I said, "You can really see all of that in the chart?" I have come to understand that some things you see "in" the chart, this is the SCIENCE of astrology. But more information comes in "off" the chart. This is the ART OF ASTROLOGY :) I have had many requests to go deeper into astrological studies beyond my
