December 2014  ~ “Bringing Genghis Khan to Tea with the Queen"

The spirit of this month and the time to follow is very much a simultaneous unleashing of the warriors and polishing of their wild expression.  The degree to which this contrariness is resolved is the extent to which the opportunities are seized and the lessons are mastered.  Summon your gumption and access the 'free energy' promised to all who triumph in the Quest!

** Sometimes the effects of planetary transits are felt before or after the actual day that the transit occurs.

December 1st -- Mars in Capricorn Sextile Saturn in Scorpio --  During this transit, good old-fashioned elbow grease will work magic!  This is a wonderful time for writing down goals and planning measurable steps that can be taken in the direction of your dreams.

December 4th -- Venus in Sagittarius Trine Jupiter in Leo  --  The days around this transit are  a brilliant time of cooperation, luck, universal benevolence, optimism, friendliness, and expansion.  Follow your natural flow or hunches and wind up exactly where you are supposed to be.  It is a great time for holiday shopping, giving many opportunities to find the perfect gift that the recipient will love.  One word of caution is that spending money will be really easy, so make a special point to stay within budget.  If you are prone to spending more than you should, leave your credit card at home and take only cash.

Brilliant social opportunities abound at this time.  Say Yes! to invites bringing you out and about or in front of big groups.  Publishing, teaching, learning, and travel possibilities now bring expansion and delight in the present time and the future.

December 4th -- Sun in Sagittarius Trine Uranus in Aries  --  New, novel, weird, and unconventional are the way to go now!  This transit brings refreshing break from the norm, inventive solutions, and strange but positive experiences.  You may be surprised how differently others see you compare to how you see yourself.  Insights into this different viewpoint of who you are and what you bring, can help you see other parts of yourself that are waiting to break free.  These insights may come unsolicited at this time, but you can also be proactive and ask.

December 5th -- Mercury in Sagittarius Trine Uranus in Aries  --  When Mercury, the planet of communication and expression, gets together with Uranus, the planet of surprises and electricity, many a piece of good news, that may seem to come out-of-the-blue, will be delivered.

December 8th -- Jupiter goes Retrograde in Leo  --  The four months of these transit brings a slow down to the feverish and fiery forward movement of the expansion of all things Leo that started in July 2014.  Jupiter is the great expander and Leo rules creativity, children, romance, the entertainment industry, and leadership.  The transit supports taking a step back to reevaluate the direction of efforts related to these topics.  Often when a goal is reached, one realizes that the 'essence' behind the goal has not quite yet been captured, or part of it has to the detriment of another equally as important intention.  This is the time to assess such things.  For instance, if a new product, project, website, etc. was launched during the 'boom' cycle of the direct Jupiter in Leo transit, and the goals of sharing passions with the world and material gains were reached but the goal of family or work life balance was negatively affected, this four-month period can bring a tweaking of the project to achieve better balance.

December 15th -- Uranus in Aries Square Pluto in Capricorn -- the 6th of seven times from 2012 through March 2015 --  This long-term challenging angle between Uranus, The Great Jostler, and Pluto, The Atomic Bomb, in the sign of the God of War, has brought each individual, each community, each, country, and the world more in touch with unresolved 'authority issues'.  The source of authority issues is our experiences with people misusing power and resources.  Here again the opportunity is presented to 'Be the Change we want to see in the World' by being in integrity with our own power and use of resources. 

December 17th -- Uranus goes Direct in Aries  --  Uranus, the planet of liberation, also called The Great Awakener, starts to regain steam, in the sign of Aries, ruling The Warrior Spirit.  When Uranus first moved into Aries in March 2011, it brought with it the infamous earthquake that preceded the Fukishima event.  This combination of the pure electricity of Uranus and unbridled forward movement of Aries is a particularly rambunctious pairing.  From the perspective of human evolution, it has the capacity to awaken souls with a surprising quickness and when used an intentional tool for increasing consciousness, it can bring about triumph in the war of fear and faith, solidifying heart-centered living for those brave enough to rise to the challenge.

December 20th -- Venus in Capricorn Conjunct Pluto in Capricorn  --  Pluto, The Nuclear Generator, combines with the money and love planet, Venus, bringing many a transformative experience in these arenas.  Obsessions run high during this combination of energies, bringing fervent financial focus, news or events, or overwhelmingly powerful romantic experiences or unions, or both.  

December 23rd  -- Saturn enters Sagittarius --  This begins a three-year cycle offering opportunities to bring BIG DREAMS and pie-in-the-sky ideas into tangible reality.  The goal of the transit is to find the balance between creating and maintaining personal freedom, while committing to relationships and the follow-through it takes to create in the material realms.  The image of a wild horse, bucking up violently at the suggestion of being saddled, comes to mind representing the beginning of this transit.  The image at the end of the transit is horse remaining free and wild in spirit while simultaneously working with a conscious rider taking all of both of their dreams to flight.

December 25th -- Mercury in Capricorn Conjunct Pluto in Capricorn  --  This transit brings powerful news and expression.  Fortunes will be made or lost as Pluto, The Great Leveler, joins the bringer of news.
