November 2013  ~ The Deep Plunge Into Introspection  ~

 

Something I have come see over so long of doing astrology, is that the entire complexity of the Universe is represented in each individual.  A very refreshing way to look at humanity, as despite what one's ego may otherwise try to decide, there is no such thing as simple or superficial person.  The same is true when looking at the astrology for a day, month, year, or beyond.  The complexity wrapped up into each unit is such that it could almost be silly to try to summarize it or glean anything useful out of it.  However, I still try anyway.  November is another month of such a 'mixed bag' of energy. 

 

The month starts out with Mercury still in retrograde, fantastic for all things beginning with "RE":  Rest, rejuvenation, redoing, reworking, revisiting (people, places, topics, issue, projects), reconsidering, researching, etc.  On November 10th, Mercury goes direct, leaving much of the month with Mercury officially direct but much still in the 'shadow' of the retrograde transit, which often carries the same tone as the transit.

 

As the Mercury energies clear, the Venus retrograde shadow starts to kick up more creating mixed messages on certain topics.  One such topic is shopping.  This is the first holiday time in years that Mercury is not retrograde through the bulk of the shopping time.  Hooray!  Shoppers delight!  This will make it much easier to get the right item the first time, have it delivered on time and intact, to a delighted recipient.  However, for art/decorative items and projects, and pricey pieces, Venus retrograde shadow will start to have effects on those choices.  If you are about to drop a bunch of cash on an expensive piece or remodel, your tastes may change rapidly over the next several months leaving you stuck choices you don't like and can't get out of.  Try to leave as much wiggle-room out of your pricey choices as possible if you are buying, and if you are selling, make certain you are releasing it for the right reasons, as regret may take hold if the decision is emotional and not well planned out.

 

Another such topic is relationships.  Mercury retrograde often brings back up issues that have not been resolved to enter a deeper stage of resolution.  These types of things can create big questions within relationships.  Venus retrograde often brings topics specific to love relationships.  So with the two dueling transits, there might be much back-and-forth regarding relationships.  This can be from a commitment perspective, but could also be from a physical/geographic perspective.   One such example is a partner being in the military and being able to visit their spouse, but then having to leave again.  Venus retrograde can serve as a 'cooling off' period in a romantic relationship, indicating problems, but could also be because of other reasons, like a new baby, or one partner being away. 

A third topic is money.  When Venus is retrograde, or in a shadow period, the topic of money is generally afoot.  How do you make money now?  Do you like it?  How can you make more?  How can you work less?  and other such questions will be coming up.  The Venus shadow period often introduces the themes that the retrograde cycle will further develop.

 

Most people want to be happier, more prosperous, and more fulfilled.  Retrograde cycles offer awesome opportunities to ask the questions that will lead to these outcomes.  Taking an active role in your Destiny will make maximum use of these fuel cells.

November 1 -- Uranus in Aries Square Pluto in Capricorn -- The elimination of non-essential things through sudden, surprise, and/or explosive experiences brings unsettlement.  Energy taken away will be replaced and ultimately the wisdom of the Universe will show itself, if not immediately understood.

 

November 1  -- Mercury in Scorpio Sextile Mars in Virgo -- Time taken now to plan ahead will produce great results.  Showing the forward-thinking nature of ideas or products you are trying to sell pans out.

 

November 1  -- Sun in Scorpio Sextile Pluto in Capricorn -- Directing the desire to manipulate people, situations, or circumstances into development of deeper will power serves well now.

 

November 1 -- Sun in Scorpio Conjunct Mercury in Scorpio - Powerful time for distributing and acquiring information.  Brings fuels for short trips, learning, and social activities.

 

November 3 -- Sun in Scorpio Sextile Mars in Virgo -- Time for taking initiative, displaying confidence, and asserting yourself.  Focusing on practicality makes your endeavors more readily heard and accepted by others.

 

November 5 -- Venus enters Capricorn -- This entrance starts a long cycle of Venus in Capricorn, as it will go retrograde from the end of December and all of January.  The cycle brings more prudence with money and for many, sexuality.  Applying more discernment with choices involving money, image, sexuality, and love can help correct difficult past patterns. 

 

November 6 -- Sun in Scorpio Conjunct Saturn in Scorpio -- Some will feel overworked by this transit, some will relish in newfound or deeper established discipline.  For the 'overworked', schedule more sleep time, for the 'underworked' get adequate sleep but arise with a plan.

 

November 7 -- Jupiter Retrograde in Cancer (through March 6, 2014) -- Time for introspection and spiritual or philosophical focus.  Not as strong a time for material pursuits, especially for those with Sagittarius Sun or Rising. 

 

November  7 -- Venus in Capricorn Sextile Neptune in Pisces -- Be awake to wisdom that a person, circumstance, or experience is trying to share.  A portal opens for a different viewpoint that can assist you in seeing the importance of the bigger picture in the situation.

 

November 8 -- Mercury in Scorpio Sextile Venus in Capricorn -- Brings potentials for fun learning and pleasurable communication.

 

November 9 -- Mars in Virgo Sextile Saturn in Scorpio -- A time to take action regarding topics of authority, and defining of a position.

 

November 9 and 11 -- Mercury in Scorpio Trine Neptune in Pisces -- Look for the truth in your own and others words.  The veil will be thinner right now and it will be easier to see.

 

November 10 -- Mercury Direct in Scorpio   -- Wait a few more days and then it's time to do holiday shopping, look into buying cars, electronics, and the other things you were holding off through the retrograde cycle to buy.  Be aware that the Venus retrograde shadow period has started and that the mercury energies are not entirely clear yet, so still purchase extra warranties and coverage's for high tickets items.  Make sure purchases are necessary and not emotional.

 

November 12 -- Sun in Scorpio Trine Jupiter in Cancer -- A time for exploring possibilities, seeing beyond the confines of current perspectives or situations, and stretching beyond the limits of what you previously thought was possible.

 

November 13 -- Neptune Direct in Pisces -- Take the steps to make the things you have been hoping for turn into reality.  Let go of the wounds that have been hindering you and move on.

 

November 14 -- Venus in Capricorn Square Uranus in Aries -- Protect yourself from impulse buys right now.  Even though Mercury is officially direct, the addition of this transit could make you spend without thinking.  Stick to your shopping list and original spending plan. 

 

November 15 -- Venus in Capricorn Conjunct Pluto in Capricorn -- A transit that brings intensity to work, money, or love-related things.  An office romance starts or culminates for many.  For others, a passionate burst of career-related focus or recognition.

 

November 19 -- Chiron Direct in Pisces -- Chiron retrograde opened or rubbed raw old wounds creating motivation and fertile ground for healing.  As it moves direct, take the lessons from the experiences and make different decisions for the future.

 

November 20 -- Mercury in Scorpio Sextile Pluto in Capricorn -- Not a time to skirt around issues!  The way past is by plowing directly through right now and you will likely find that that fear of doing it was worse than the actual experience.

 

November 21 -- Sun enters Sagittarius (through Dec. 21) -- Everything opens up!  Mundane details move into autopilot as the quest for something bigger takes center stage.  Perfect for connecting with the world in more expanded ways, seeing the connectedness of all things, and asking bigger questions.  People are far away geographically and culturally and yet somehow having very similar experiences.  Smile big and feel close to others thinking about the common basis of the human experience.  No one is ever really alone.  Tap into this truth during this transit.

 

November 23 -- Venus in Capricorn Sextile Saturn in Scorpio -- Appreciating a commitment makes following through with it feel different.  Having a good outlook on what could seem like hard work shifts it to a more enjoyable experience.

 

November 24 -- Sun in Sagittarius Square Neptune in Pisces -- A better time to help someone than ask for help yourself.  Minor disappointments, tiredness, or disillusionment take hold of many.  A great time to stay home and rest with a 'feel-good' movie.

 

November 25 -- Mercury in Scorpio Conjunct Saturn in Scorpio -- Discipline, focus, and concentration are favored now.  Serious news could come in.

 

November 27 -- Mercury in Scorpio Sextile Venus in Capricorn -- Communications are better now than the previous several days.  Happy news could come in, especially about a practical or tangible endeavor.

 

November 28 -- Mercury in Scorpio Trine Jupiter in Cancer -- Favorable for teaching, learning, writing, communicating, mind expansion and information dissemination of any kind through any venue, and travel near or far.

 

November 30 -- Sun in Sagittarius Trine Uranus in Aries -- A high level of energy may overtake you, matched simultaneously with a mischievous spark.  New, fun, exciting adventures await!
