Now onto more about the stars ahead... 

 

January 2021 ~ EPIC CHANGES and FAST!

 

This will feel very much like a New Year as the full steam ahead mode that began at the end of November 2020 continues through around January 15 when the pre-Mercury retro shadow period begins. December and the first half of January are supreme times to make big decisions, take major steps, launch businesses and other projects, sign paperwork, and anything else major or binding. There is some caution, however, to avoid overcommitting or any excessive zealotry or extravagance due to the Jupiter square Uranus aspect that covers the whole month.

 

The busy and scattered Sagittarius energies of December and early January ground into strong Earth expression as the month goes on with the Sun and Venus moving through Capricorn and Mars, which had been in Aries since mid 2020, finally moving into Earth. This transition of fire to earth brings ambitions manifested into reality and ideas and plans into action.

 

We are in for another wild ride in 2021! While there will be positive shifts towards managing Covid, the ancillary economic (and other) situations that were changed from the pandemic are still finding their footing (which may take a while). All the planets will be moving forward for a time this month and this always corresponds with major leaps ahead.

 

Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus will be making intense connections all month bringing information that shows the direction the year will take. The presence of Uranus in the mix promises surprises and futuristic solutions.

 

Reality checks and major material/business/money news are likely all month. It is a great time to get down to business and much laser focus will be available for tedious tasks.

 

Saturn and Uranus will make 3 connections this year (just like Jupiter and Pluto did in 2020) and this means that there is a storyline at play in 2021 that will play out all year and beyond into late 2022. The exact hit dates for 2021 will be: February 17, 2021, June 14, 2021 and December 24, 2021. Look for key news and events to correspond in the weeks around those dates.

 

Saturn and Uranus in the sky will square each other throughout 2022 and from September 17 to October 24, 2022.

 

Themes of 2020 with the old clashing with the new, traditional vs. pioneering will continue throughout the times of these Saturn and Uranus connections.

 

Systems that were in place were not sustainable. The outer planets in Capricorn tested those systems and checked which ones had what it takes for long-term surety. 2020 reminds me of when a dentist very aggressively uses a metal tool to ‘check’ fillings. Sometimes the vigorous checking makes them loose then we say, “Why the heck did you shake them so vigorously?!  They were fine until you messed with them!” At which point they will explain that they would only come loose if they weren’t strong enough for the long-term.

 

So the outer Cap planets gave the whole world unwanted dental checks (and some people, very literally as Capricorn rules teeth).

 

Now 2021 and 2022 is the time after the initial shaking loose, that progresses to the drilling out of the rest of the old filling, the putting in of the new one and the settling in and adjusting of the new fit.

 

While 2020 featured a long string of personal planet retrogrades which made the theme of STANDSTILL echo throughout the year, 2021 is full of constant change and forward movement, even to a fault. The types of changes that will come this year may feel too much and too fast.

 

I am sad to say that the odds of economic recession and high unemployment are very high throughout 2021 and 2022 and many millions of people will have negative effects from this BUT, and this is a major BUT, remember that this time will bring amazing opportunities for NEW industry, NEW ways of working and NEW relationships with work itself.

 

Old paradigms are being busted up and everything is being put into question… Work hours, schedules, locations, and anything else. Virtual employment will boom and those who are daring or otherwise sufficiently motivated out of necessity to innovate and pioneer, can benefit from this surprising and exciting phase of human evolution.

 

Many lofty dreams will be fulfilled and magical miracles will occur. During the last economic crises, I was one of the many people that had devastating financial losses and it was very stressful and uncertain but it was that crisis that birthed the current form of my work out in the world. Keep this in mind for yourself or others you know as the events from 2020-2022 can be the catalyst that help many to step into the life of their dreams.

 

If you have an option to stretch into new and interesting realms, that path could hold tremendous promise. If you try to do things the ways they have been done before (even if those ways used to be successful), you may encounter blocks, and if you do, consider trying to align with options along the lines of these key terms: unusual, eccentric, forward-thinking, green, progressive, community-focused, internet-based.

 

Communities will come together in new and wonderful ways, both locally and online. Contributing to this trend can spur amazing new business and/or humanitarian offerings.

 

ANOTHER MAJOR THEME OF THIS MONTH AND ALL OF 2021 IS TO RELEASE ATTACHMENTS. Notice the places where your attachments to things, people, and places is causing you grief, loosen your hold, look for innovative solutions. Solutions could be more likely when the attachments are softened as they may allow for a wider vision.

 

Continued wild news and trajectory shifts from the Eclipse series from November and December still could roll in! Life-changing news and experiences are very likely! November 30 brought a Lunar Eclipse at 8° of Gemini and the second Eclipse in the series is at 23° of Sagittarius on December 14. This set of Eclipses has been and will continue to be very centered around the acquiring and sharing information, social interacting, education/learning/teaching formats, locations, and systems, writing/editing/speaking/publishing, workplace environment, mobility, travel (local and long distance), and international relations and experiences, immigration, global economy vs. local economies.

 

Sweet boosts are more likely on or around these days: 1, 2, 8, 9, 11, 13, 14, 20, 25, and 28.

 

Drama or stress are more likely in the days around: 2, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 20, 23, 26, and 28.

January 4 — Mercury and Pluto Conjunct in Capricorn — Major conversations or news tend to accompany this transit. Someone might judge you harshly (or vice versa) or you may receive great recognition. Big money events are also common.

 

January 8 — Sun in Capricorn Sextile Neptune in Pisces — Someone who is usually stern may surprise you by being warm and fuzzy now. Meditation and other spiritual arts may carry further now.

 

January 8 — Mercury in Aquarius Square Mars in Taurus — This aspect increases the odds of impatience resulting in embarrassing error. Think  carefully before speaking or acting during this time.

 

January 9 — Venus in Capricorn Trine Mars in Taurus — Enhanced social and romantic experience could come in now. Alignment with another for something tangible could work out wonderfully at this time.

 

January 9 — Mercury and Saturn Conjunct in Aquarius  — This is a great aspect for projects needing focus. Anything related to groups, humanitarian efforts, or internet-based projects could light up in a big and permanent way. This aspect can also bring reality-checks that create a fine-tuning of plans.

 

January 11 — Mercury Conjunct Jupiter in Aquarius both Sextile Chiron in Aries — Major solutions could come in now with glorious results. If an obstacle came up recently or had been present for a long time, this aspect can bring hope and unique perspectives and ideas to resolve them.

 

January 12 — Mercury in Aquarius Square Uranus in Taurus — This aspect can bring overstimulation or jolts to the physical body or emotions. Commit to being extra present to help avoid unnecessary issues.

 

January 12 — Venus in Capricorn Square Chiron in Aries — This pair-up often brings up hurt feelings or insecurity in love, money, or general self-esteem. The good news is that helpful insights could come to light and the negativity usually passes quickly.

January 13 — Mars in Taurus Square Saturn in Aquarius — This transit can bring frustration. Ambitions will likely run high but interference will likely accompany it. Avoid accidents by not forcing or acting out of impatience or anger and by paying extra attention to your surroundings.

 

January 13 — Venus in Capricorn Trine Uranus in Taurus — This aspect often brings happy surprises! Good news about material gains is likely.

 

January 14 — Sun and Pluto Conjunct in Capricorn — Major discoveries and breakthroughs are more likely now, so are power struggles. A challenge could yield important insights into negative patterns of behavior and solutions.

 

January 15 — Mercury retro pre-transit shadow period begins — Changes to plans, miscommunications, blasts from the past, breakdown of mechanical devices are all more likely starting now.

 

January 17 — Jupiter in Aquarius Square Uranus in Taurus — Change is happening BIG TIME and with this aspect it can feel like too much, too fast. As the keynote of FREEDOM is brought up on many levels, fear and overwhelm are likely.  A great analogy I thought of for this is the many examples of people who have become too famous or famous too fast and it set them in a destructive tailspin. The freedom offered by the new finances and notoriety in this example created overwhelm and overstimulation from too many options and taking too many of them.  Another way this aspect can manifest is certain changes coming that are too far away from what was previously, so too progressive or too extreme. Zealotry can be a major issue with this aspect. As such, try to avoid taking action on anything that seems too extreme if a more balanced middle-ground can be found.

 

January 20 — Mars and Uranus Conjunct in Taurus — Notable weather and other earth events (like quakes, etc.) are more likely with these energies coming together and this same energy internally is increased. Embodying the energy of anarchy, this combination forces extreme questions and can bring an overwhelming urge to ACT. Be extra careful with your body, others, machinery, and don’t antagonize someone who might be on edge. Surprises are more likely, for better or worse. The upside of this fierce combo is the potential for mega-insights and instant karma clearing.

 

January 23 — Mars in Taurus Square Jupiter in Aquarius — Overpromising and overdoing are the tendencies at this time. The plus side is that you could accomplish something amazing. Advice for this time is to promise less than you know you can bring about and do a little less than you think is necessary. Managing the energy of this time is like stopping eating before you are full knowing that your body takes a bit to register changes in hunger levels.

 

January 25 — Sun in Aquarius Sextile Chiron in Aries — A boost to self-esteem could come with this one or getting praised or other goodies from something that used to be a liability for you.

 

January 26 — Sun in Aquarius Square Uranus in Taurus — Recklessness and irrationality are common at this time. You will see the wisdom of avoiding both show up very quickly.

 

January 28 — Full Moon at 9° of Leo — Fullness, completion, fruition comes to all things Leo (Romance, children, creativity, to name a few). Drama and high emotion are very likely and with so many other intense aspects close by, supercharged experiences are increased in likelihood. January 28 — Venus and Pluto Conjunct in Capricorn — Mega-intensity in love, money, or accomplishment. Wild breakthroughs, life-changing news or experiences, financial windfalls or losses are all more likely now.

 

January 28 — Sun and Jupiter Conjunct in Aquarius — Powerful experiences or news involving friends, acquaintances, social media, or within any group atmosphere are more likely now. Finding key members of your ‘tribe’ or setting major boundaries are more likely now.

 

January 30 — Mercury retrograde at 26° of Aquarius back to 11° — retrograde until February 21 and post-transit shadow through March 13 —  Keep planning to a minimum knowing that changes are likely. Major conversations on important or charged topics are likely to come up. Anything unresolved from the past is likely to come out and take center stage. This also can work in the positive through fun contacts from the past, a return to old and rewarding pursuits, or work done in the past yielding great results now.
