Now onto more about the stars ahead...
September 2020 ~ Mega-Earth Trine Kisses and Official Mars Retro …
The strong showing of Virgo energies this month offer us an opportunity to clean up factors in our daily environment that could be affecting us even more than the stars! Think about how obviously the planets affect us even though they are so far away. Then think about the state of your daily affairs, and how much CLOSER they are to you compared to the stars. This perspective can give you some insight
into how important it is to tend to clutter, inefficiencies in your daily systems (or lack thereof) that are at the center of your experience, and this month offers impetus and focus to tend to these matters in ways that can be truly transformation. These are shorter-term influences but this theme carries into the long-term as we have 4 out of 5 outer planets making long transits through Earth signs, which bring the focus to the mundane and material realms.
As the Sun and Mercury move through efficient and clutter-clearing Virgo they kiss Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn (in that order) with the most harmonious angle in all of astrology, the trine. There are six of these aspects scattered throughout the month and these are shining gems that increase the chance for sweet outcomes from prior mischief creating by the karmic outer titans (Jup, Cap, and Pluto) and
anything worked hard for and planned well for can show up in very notable ways this month. Ambitions may be decreased from Mars going retrograde but these trines tell a story of things you get to enjoy now without having to do the work them at this time and anything that flows well for you to do now can breath life into your long-term goals and security. Although we are not out of the woods of the intense outer planet pairings these aspects and some other are notable sweet spots amidst other
planetary static. These Earthy connections can also help to give concentration and follow-through even as Mars retro brings some laziness and distraction.
Mars in retrograde can bring amazing things planned and worked for into super-easy fruition. The thing to be careful of is trying to force things into manifestation when it is not flowing. Your discernment process gets a boost now as the Universe educates on when to stop pushing. The education mechanism tends to be themes of frustration and anger. When you notice these coming up, stop, drop, and tune
in. The positive pairings all in Earth signs combined with Mars retro can bring “comfortable productivity”, as long as you carefully follow the flow and stop immediately when red lights come.
This month has many factors that could allow for comfortable coasting, like riding a month-long wave back to shore.
I absolutely LOVE vacations and stay-cations (and play-cations) in this transit! In situations where you still have to work and can’t take time off, the attitude of vacation can be applied with great success. So for example, lets say you would like to go take a tropical vacation but you can’t because of work or other obligations (or Covid-related blocks to travel). Planning a tropical-themed
evening or weekend where you commit to unplugging from phones and work for a while let the restorative action of Mars retro do its thing. Also just avoiding taking on extra projects can add to the relaxation vibe. See later in this write-up a list of other things to know about Mars retro.
Jupiter blessings of optimism and expansion return as it moves direct (Sept. 13) and areas of life that stalled out in May could see an exuberant return of flow.
Amidst this sweetness, still have double the challenging aspects compared to the nice ones, theme begun in August that carries through September. When there is a succession of aspects that have angles that are associated with stress dominate the smooth and easy ones, I see it as the stars inviting us to see things a different way. The way that I, an eternal optimist, suggest that you frame this
is to see the stars as inviting you to change your viewpoint. The harsh angles can bring nuisances that offer lessons in your perspective. Changing your viewpoint may not take away some negative effects of occurrences but they can definitely bring more peace and future protection.
This idea brought up now of noticing when your belief or viewpoint may be out-of-date is going to be a them of years to come as Jupiter and Saturn move into Aquarius starting in December. This will continue the process started at the end of 2019 by Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto uniting in late Capricorn degrees of the careful analysis of old systems, archaic ways of seeing and doing things being perused
through for what still has value, as new and innovative views start to replace the old. You will see this pattern on the global level down to the very daily personal level.
September is a still point of integration between the busy, dramatic, and emotional eclipse hot spots, and it is also a moment to breath before October through December when Jupiter and Saturn, now direct, make their way back into the dramatic exact mathematical connections that instigated the massive change early this year.
In September we also have 6 Inconjunct/Quincunx aspects this month that continue the theme of awkwardness and “finding your footing” and getting situated in “the new normal” that became very strong in August. This 150° angle often brings discomfort and doubt, bringing disillusionment. Doubt is a powerful gift offered by the Universe that helps us to see clearly places in our being that are not strong
and need shoring up. Allowing the doubt to wash over you while not making major decisions on what it may mean. Give yourself a few days to feel what comes up and ask yourself, “Is it even true”. This beautiful and powerful question offered to us by Byron Katie in “The Work” can help you to cast doubt on your doubt, reversing it back into growing certainty.
It is also important to note that awkwardness and chaos in the stars can represent that embodiment in a person that comes into your life or whose way affects you more at this time. We all know those people whose energy are like the Warner Bros. character, “Taz”, the Tasmanian Devil, who wreaks confusion and chaos wherever they go. This archetypal energy can be seen in others or felt in ourselves when
we it is time to clean up our energy field and personal dynamics and a dominance of the 150° angle can bring this topic front and center.
Although the water festival that dominated June, July and August dissolves away by September, we do start out the month with an emotional Full Moon in Pisces. There is one challenging aspect influencing the situation but there is a predominance of sweet aspects at that time, bringing promise of happy resolutions of anything that comes up and making joyful tears more likely over or after sad
ones.
To help you understand and work with Mars retro energies as they deepen, here is an excerpt from my blog, Your Guide to Mercury Retrograde (and you can see the full blog here). Note that the themes below will start to influence but since the actual retrograde doesn’t occur until September 9,
there may be a bit more room for important actions that may otherwise not be as well-indicated as the energies get stronger:
~ Mars retro a great time to ASSESS what you want but not take ACTION on getting it. Reassessing goals, business plan, life plan, relationship goals are great areas of focus. Again, it is important to do the assessment but not take action on the discoveries. (Remember that in August you may be able to push some things through still but feel into these choices carefully if their success requires
continued drive and momentum).
~ Review your goals and relax. Plan to busy in the times before the retrograde and put extra money aside so that if business/income slows down you are covered.
~ Go deeper into inner work, therapy, etc. Do martial arts, meditation, etc. Deal with anger issues. Practice Ho'oponopono - the karma melting Hawaiian prayer.
~ Exercise more. Get a punching bag and use it. Frustrations will likely run high... Mars rules Aries, a very active fire sign. Physical action, just for the sake of itself is favored over taking actions trying to "get somewhere" or accomplish something, just be more proactive against physical injury.
~ Aries rules the head. Protect your head and investigate anything head/brain related that seems to be coming up. Mars also co-rules Scorpio, which rules deep investigation, so anything involving research, studying, resolving mysteries or enigmas, studying esoteric or psychological topics will be greatly supported.
~ Scorpio rules genitals, reproductive organs, and the bladder. Any issues unresolved in these areas may benefit from focusing on now.
~ Listen to your body! There is a great book called Feelings Buried Alive Never Die. The Scorpio aspect of this transit relates to deeply buried issues bubbling out to be dealt with and the pattern of anger expressed or held in, is likely to come up in some way now.
~ Expect a slow down on every level and melt into the great things that can bring.
~ Avoid elective surgeries and be wary of anything involving metal.

September 1-2 — Full Moon at 10° of Pisces — Expect high emotion as is typical with a Full Moon, especially one in a water sign. The emotion can be sad or happy but since we also have several sweet aspects in the days of an after the Full Moon, there is an increased chance of chance of happy tears. fears, addictions, ancestral patterning and other psychological topics, and spiritual dilemmas or breakthroughs. To maximize the power of this transit, check out my blog, Powerful Full Moon in Pisces Reveal & Release Ceremony.

September 12 — JUPITER DIRECT at 17 degrees of Capricorn — The planet of expansion and optimism kicks back into gear. Areas of life stalled out in May may have more life now. Jupiter does tend to amplify the energies of other planets it connects with and its connections with Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn have been a major part of the world changes we have experienced starting in December
2019. These connections will occur again from October through December so be ready to witness the concluding chapters of the storylines that began then and have been continued and amplified throughout 2020.

September 17 — Mercury in Libra Square Jupiter in Capricorn — Oppositions with Jupiter tend to bring overdoing and exhaustion. Getting extra sleep, taking your supplements, meditating or any other practice you do in the days around now for the sake of balance can help buffer from negative effects. Also, a conflict in a relationship could come up where each person is staunchly
remaining in their viewpoint. Acknowledging the other persons viewpoint could go a long way towards balancing out the drama.
September 17 — Sun in Virgo Trine Saturn in Capricorn — Valuable advice or other support may come in now, especially from someone older or more established. Fulfilling long-term plans may start to gel in your mind or start to show outer proof of happening.

September 20-21 — Mercury in Libra Square Pluto in Capricorn — Clashes with authority figures is more likely now. Ego battles tend to increase with this aspect. The energy could be explosive. It may not be the best time to bring up a topic that is sensitive. You might receive news about something surprising that had occurred or is in process.
September 21-23 — Venus in Leo Inconjunct Jupiter in Capricorn then Neptune in Pisces — Doubt may come to love, money or inner certainty. The intensity will likely pass in a few days but using the throws of the emotions that come up can help to strengthen your core. See above section where I discuss the 150° angle.
September 23 — Mercury in Libra Square Saturn in Capricorn — An annoying block or dismissal from an older person or one that thinks they are “wiser” may come up now. You may be verbalizing a fleeting idea and may not even want what you are trying to assert. Check in to make sure you aren’t just being a contrarian for the sake of it.
September 24 — Mercury in Libra Opposing Mars in Aries — Mercury retrograde pre-transit shadow period begins — Relationship clashes are likely now. Alternatively, you could be on the same page with someone important and together could feel victimized by someone else’s aggression. The confusion, plan changes, and increase in themes of the past that are typical of Mercury retrograde will
start to come up in more frequency now.
September 26-28 — Venus in Leo Inconjunct Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn — Changes involving increased prudence in money and/or love may make themselves known as necessary at this time. Unspoken awkwardness may trigger quiet action.
September 28 — Venus in Leo Trine Mars in Aries — A sweet little boost here amidst heavier connections could bring a random smile to help you keep going.
September 28-29 — Saturn Direct at 25° of Capricorn — Lessons learned previously and put into action regarding hard work and discipline may show great effects now. Saturn now direct will start to move towards the challenging conflicts of earlier in the year that brought great change to the world. Along with Jupiter now also direct in Capricorn, these karmic titans head towards the final
aspects in this year-long matrix-shifting sequence.
September 29 — Sun in Libra Opposing Chiron in Aries & Mars in Aries Square Saturn in Capricorn — Relationship clashes are more likely now. If you see someone is charged about something, it may be better to bow out of the conflict than engage as you are unlikely to get through with your side. The Full Moon in Aries is October 1 and you will likely start feeling the intense drama of
it now.
