July 2020 ~ Bubbling Up and Blazing Forward …

 

July carries the energy of a dog shaking off wetness after a bath. The water represents emotion that feels uncomfortable and the action of shaking it off results in space made for new things.

 

Retrogrades are all about going back over things from the past and reviewing and revising before moving forward. In July, the multi-layered personal planet retrograde web clears notably making a bubbling up of clarity and forward movement more likely.

 

Mars in Aries brings a need for action and with a tilt towards impulsivity. Venus in Gemini breaths life into the fiery potentials adding a variety of options, ideas, or communication (and hopefully mobility). The Sun and Mercury in Cancer add layers of intense emotion and aspects with both planets bring tests to desired movement. The last of the Cancer/Capricorn eclipses (on July 5) and a second New Moon in Cancer (Black Moon), bring high emotion and major events to the arenas of homes, housing, real estate, family, parents, childhood imprinting related to adult experience, work, career, and the feeling of ‘purpose’.

 

There are about the same amount of challenging aspects compared to sweet ones. When this happens, your experience of the month can really be shifted into the positive by adjusting your perspective. One person looking at the rain outside may decide their day is ruined, another may see it as an opportunity to play or not have to water their plants. Knowing a month will likely be “rainy” (with the rain representing emotion and also water through weather, natural events, pipes, bodies of water, etc.) can help you to have your umbrella ready. So here is your official recommendation to have your umbrella ready! … and also to have your rain boots and be ready to figure out how you can have fun with reframing the watery potentials.

 

Much information has likely come in through Mercury and Venus retrograde and the three eclipses. As we move towards the end of July, it will be easier to make decisions about the opportunities and other situations that have come up.

 

Mars pre-shadow transit (that preceded the retrograde will start on July 29 but there is a time towards the end of July and the first half or so of August that is more clear from personal planet retrograde energies than it has been for a while and will be until December into January 2021, bringing a small window to blaze forward. Plus the Sun moving into Leo later in July, then Mercury joining in August, will change the emotional mood significantly. Adding Mars in Aries helps to make this time ripe with opportunity for pushing forward before the laziness (or we could say “rest-focus”), decrease in ambition, frustrations of trying to force, of Mars retrograde starts to take center stage.

 

I love the days around July 20 through around the 28 for sweet starry flow that can be used for important moves, decisions, launches, etc.

 

Sweet boosts are more likely on or around these days: 1, 4, 5, 10, 20, 22, 27, 30, and 31.

 

Drama or stress are more likely in the days around: 1, 4, 5, 8, 12, 14, 15, 20, 21, and 30.

July 1 — Sun in Cancer Sextile Uranus in Taurus  — This transit could bring exciting surprises, even life-changing events. A willingness to do to something different may be rewarded with deep emotional satisfaction. An interesting opportunity may present itself now.

 

July 2 — Mercury in Cancer Square Chiron in Aries  — Deep-seated pain may be brought back up now. Observing and sitting with feeling rather than reacting through engaging with others could be very beneficial now. Focusing more on the feeling that is brought up rather than the story of what is happening can help direct healing energy to the wound bringing beautiful outcomes.

 

July 4-5 —  Lunar Eclipse/Full Moon at 13° of Capricorn — The two-year Cancer/Capricorn eclipse series is winding down to a close. From the middle of 2018 through now, massive change in the areas of home/family/housing/ancestry/childhood patterns still present as an adult/Mothering,Mothers and Mother figures and work/career/your place out in the world/Father, Father Figures and other areas ruled by Cancer and Capricorn have taken front seat. July 8 —  Mercury in Cancer Square Mars in Aries — Beware of hurried speech, movement, or decisions now. Emotions (yours or others) can hinder movement. Choosing feelings over productivity at this time could bring gifts.

 

 

July 10 —  Venus in Gemini Sextile Chiron in Aries — Learning from past mistakes in relationships, finances, or anything else related to Venus now can pay off in a big way. When the choice to do something that burned you before comes back up, think carefully before proceeding.

 

 

July 12 —  Mercury Direct at 5° of Cancer (post transit shadow period diminishing daily until its end on July 26 ) —  The ruler of mobility and communication is going direct but remember the chaotic element of the retrograde is often amplified in these days of the direction change. With every day we move towards July 26, more clarity and movement will likely return.

 

July 12 —  Sun in Cancer Trine Neptune in Pisces — Sweet moments, spiritual or emotional breakthroughs, relating bliss, flowing artistic expression are more likely now. If a plan changes for around this time, feel into take a rest day instead of filling the space left by the change in plans.

 

July 14-15 —  Sun in Cancer Opposing Jupiter then Pluto (both in Capricorn) — Heavy Big Hitters call for action in a time when you may want to focus more on your inner world. Practical tests to emotional attachments may come now. Cold external forces may seem cruel in their relentless completion of actions that have been pending for a while and although their unemotional nature may be disconcerting, their actions now can feel surprisingly freeing after the high emotion passes. Karma is being cleared now in a big way. The more you can reframe your view to focus on the simplicity and freedom rather than what you feel is being ‘lost’, the easier it will be. The feeling of guilt may come but since what is happening is likely out of your hands, releasing this guilt could change everything.

 

July 20 —  New Moon at 28° of Cancer — Major news or experiences in the arenas of homes, housing, real estate, family, parents, or your inner world/childhood psychology are likely now. July 22 —  Mercury in Cancer Sextile Uranus in Taurus — Inventive solutions to matters of the heart, home or family are more likely now. Trying to solve something in a way different than before can bring a positive outcome.

 

July 26 —  Mercury retro post-transit shadow ends and Mars retro pre-transit shadow begins — Mercury retro energies are now clear and Mars retro vibes start stirring!  Mars will be retrograde from September 9 - November 14 with post-transit shadow running until early January 2021.

 

July 27 —  Jupiter in Capricorn Sextile Neptune in Pisces — Three passes occur this year of this beautiful transit - February 20, July 27, and October 11. I love this time for launches and big decisions. The cycle brought by this transit speaks of the potential for increased empathy to factor into necessary structural changes. Systems can seem dry and unemotional, automatic and robotic. This transit is helping to awaken a softer, more intuitive type of system creation where feelings and expression are allotted for instead of just the “bottomline” facts and figures. You can use this energy to re-create your daily systems and protocols that balance Divine inspiration with mundane practicalities.

 

July 29 —  Venus retro post-transit shadow ends — Venus, ruler of love, beauty, money, and design, is back in normal rhythm now. Clarity and forward movement in Venus-ruled areas is more likely.

 

 

July 30 —  Mercury in Cancer Opposing Jupiter in Capricorn — Emotions and responsibilities can clash now. In an effort to do everything and show up for everyone, overwhelm and overdoing is more likely now. Getting good rest before this time can help you to rock it super-hero style :)

 

July 30 —  Mercury in Cancer Trine Neptune in Pisces —   Imagination and creativity are enhanced now. The urge to follow your flow instead of your to-do list will be strong.

 

July 30 —  Venus in Gemini Inconjunct Pluto in Capricorn — Imagine a chatty person sitting next a stressed executive who wants them to be quiet. This type of dynamic is likely to come up now and could manifest in any number of ways. Expression that can pass the test of practicality will be rewarded but may not be easy. Expression for the sake of itself may be questioned by an authority figure but could turn out to show its merit.

 

July 31 —  Sun in Leo Trine Chiron in Aries — Now is a fantastic time to make a decision to no longer be ruled by a weakness that keeps coming back to haunt you. Taking necessary action and applying discipline can work wonders. This can also manifest as an acceptance of an issue that can’t be resolved with a simultaneous choice to be happy anyway.
