Now onto more about the stars ahead...

 

 

January 2020  ~ LAST MONTH BEFORE THE WALL OF RETROGRADES!  USE IT FOR THIS …

 

There are almost equal sweet aspects as challenging ones this month and the many alignments in the sign of Capricorn can bring a serious and somber note.  Alternatively or additionally, this line-up’s can be fantastic for business and finances.  Things related to fathers, father figures, strategy, career, long-term plans are all brought into the forefront in a major way.  Also, energies of mother, home/housing, and family are coinciding themes. Expect to be pulled out into the world and into the emotional, internal, and home space at the same time.  The demands in these sectors could be high but equal allowing you to find a perfect balance and somehow get everything done.  I love this time for taxes, launches, anything involving practical steps, commitments and strategy.

 

Overall, January 2020 carries the same big message as December 2019 which is to … do everything and anything, of minor and major consequence! Capricorn is an energy that wants to GET STUFF DONE! Productivity, accomplishment, strategy, plan with an eye to the long-term are all Cap traits and these energies will set the theme.  This theme has already been in the long term backdrop as Pluto has been working this sector since the end of 2008 and Saturn has been joining in chorus since the end of 2017.  Jupiter adds to the story from December  2019 through December 2020. In December 2019 and now additionally in January 2020, the multiple planets are giving the message DO IT NOW.  Besides this overwhelming support for big plans, long-term launches, and other major decisions of consequence through the strong Capricorn showing, the open window free from personal planet retrogrades and their shadow periods starts December 9 and runs through February 2.

 

Anything ready to push out will likely have more momentum if done this month through February 2.  February 3 starts the 2019 long trek inward and backward of the Mercury, Venus, and Mars retrograde sequence.  The retrogrades are AMAZING for many things, but for the new, major, never been done, things of major consequence, the energies are more clear in January 2020 than they will be for ALL of 2020!

 

Besides the Capricorn showing that got stronger in December and continues into January, there is a coinciding theme of strong and growing Aquarius energies.  This combination can often bring clashes or opportunities between tradition and the past and innovation and the future.

 

Eclipse drama, fruition, life-changing news and events come in stronger as we closer to the first of the next series of eclipses (December 26 - Solar Eclipse at 4° of Capricorn). This set of eclipses is the second to last in the Cancer/Capricorn polarity and many final chapters of story lines that began in 2018 will be starting to wrap up at this time.  The last eclipses in this series will be in the middle of 2020.

 

 

Sweet boosts are more likely on or around these days: 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 17, 22, 23, 24, 25, and 27.

 

Drama or stress are more likely in the days around: 2, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 18, 22, 23, 26, 27, and 28.

January 2 — Mercury and Jupiter Conjunct in Capricorn — This transit often brings major news and occurrences.  The combination of planets in Capricorn can mean the situations have a serious and somber tone, or could be notable in a way related to money or business.  It can be a great time for important launches and decisions.  Things done or that come in at this time will be more likely to have long-term significance.

 

 

January 5 —  Mars in Sagittarius Trine Chiron in Aries — Blessings often come from this pair-up.  Anything related to writing, publishing, teaching, learning, speaking, different countries or languages, spiritual or religious projects or pursuits, are all more likely to be blessed or offer opportunities at this time.  Woundedeness, struggle, or hard work from the past can pay off now in a big way.

 

 

January 6-7 —  Sun in Capricorn Sextile Neptune in Pisces and Mars in Sagittarius Quincunx Uranus in Taurus — Sweetness is likely to come from the Sun/Neptune aspect increasing the potential of support coming to you from someone established and with resources.  The Mars/Uranus aspect can add awkwardness to this sweetness or create a disconnect with something unrelated.  Quincunx angles often bring the energy of two ships passing in the night or some kind of other challenge in relating.

 

 

January 8 —  Mercury in Capricorn Sextile Neptune in Pisces —  A stroke of positivity can come from this aspect and with so much intensity on either side of it, there could be some good parts about an otherwise difficult situation.

 

January 10 —  Lunar Eclipse/Full Moon at 20° of Cancer — Plus Sun and Mercury Conjunct in Capricorn -  For better or worse, major news, intense trajectory changes, life-changing events are all more common at this time.  It is likely that whatever occurs now had a storyline that preceded this time and could have started popping back up at different points throughout 2019.  Fullness, completion, fruition, manifestation, finality, high emotion, and drama are all more likely in the areas of homes/housing/real estate and family.  The additional Sun/Mercury aspect at this time can add somberness to the situation and also bring news and other occurrences that will dramatically effect the long-term picture. January 12-13 —  Sun, Mercury, Saturn, and Pluto Conjunct in Capricorn — The Saturn/Pluto Conjunction only happens once every 34 years! This combination destroys old foundations and builds new ones. It often carries a somber tone and tends to reward those who have prepared most.  Strategy and other planning, hard work, discipline, at this time and for any time prior can pay off in big ways.  While it tends to have a serious, sometimes depressing energy, this combination of four planets in Capricorn can also be the ultimate for manifestation. Work done and plans made in the past can really show up big time now.  It could also manifest as opportunities to plant new seeds and lay a strong foundation for the future. Major negative karma can be blasted off at this time.

 

 

January 17 —  Mercury in Aquarius Sextile Chiron in Aries — Innovative solutions abound at this time.  Changing a perspective can solve a big problem.  Friendships and acquaintances can bring extra support now.

 

January 18 —  Mercury in Aquarius Square Uranus in Taurus — Jarring news is more likely with this transit.  Awkwardness and indecision could be the response to unwelcome surprises.  The new ways and the old ways could clash uncomfortably now.

 

January 22 —  Sun in Aquarius Sextile Chiron in Aries — Gratitude could come in a big way as forgiveness given in the past come back in a wonderful way.  Unique perspectives and experiences are more likely now.

 

 

January 22-23 —  Sun in Aquarius Square Uranus in Taurus —  More clashing of traditional and new thought is likely at this time.  Pressure for balance or choosing a path that has opposition either way is more likely now.  Answers could come from surprising places from the aspect on the 22 with the Sun and Chiron so if something comes up, remember to look in a different place than usual for solutions.

 

 

January 23 —  Venus in Pisces Sextile Jupiter in Capricorn —  Good money news could come in now or sweet support in a relationship that helps to offset some other mischief that may be occurring from the other aspect today.

 

 

January 24 —  New Moon at 4° of Aquarius — New beginnings are more likely now especially in the areas ruled by Aquarius.  Time for your New Moon wishes! See my blog, Making Powerful New Moon in Aquarius Wishes.

 

 

January 25 —  Mercury in Aquarius Sextile Mars in Sagittarius — This transit favors writing and other creativity.  It is a sweet spot amongst the heavier energies this month.  Inspiration could come in fast and be fleeting so write things down that seem to have merit.  They could be something big if you can capture them as they flash through.

 

 

January 26—  Venus in Pisces Square Mars in Sagittarius —  Emotional spiraling meets physical spiraling.  Busy-ness plus emotion blend in a disharmonious way.  Something said or done casually could have negative effects. Take more care at this time to think things through before implementing.

 

 

January 27 —  Venus and Neptune Conjunct in Pisces  — Inspiration is likely as is confusion or disillusionment in money or love.  Self-esteem may get shaken. This time favor art and other quiet personal pursuits.  A sabbatical or quiet retreat can be perfect at this time.

 

 

January 28 —  Mars in Sagittarius Square Neptune in Pisces  —  Desire for progress may be thwarted now as confusing elements can require some steps back.  Making decisions from a quiet and centered space can help offset the dizzying energies at this time. If you are unsure of what to do, doing nothing may be better until more clarity comes.
