May 2019  ~ CONQUER THE OBSTACLES & GAIN THE REWARDS

  

The factors that flipped the switch towards action in April continue all throughout May, and May is our first month in a while that we have all personal planets (Mercury, Venus, and Mars) direct with no retrograde (or retrograde shadow transits) to impede progress.  Multiple placements in grounded Taurus throughout the month, as well as Jupiter still retrograde and Saturn turning retrograde help to balance ambitions adding for more streamlined productivity.  There will be a number of obstacles sitting along each sweet opportunity this month, so be ready to work for your goals!

 

Many great aspects in Gemini or with Mercury (ruler of Gemini) will bring lots of communication and movement, brilliant social opportunities, advancement of writing and other creative projects, and chances to travel and upgrade communication devices and modes of transportation. At the same time there are a number of clashes with Gemini energy and its ruler that can slow things down and/or create drama.

 

As with April, in May there is a hurriedness about these transits that could lend itself to unnecessary accidents or injuries so take extra care to be aware, breath, and pay more attention as you move your body and vehicles around.

 

Jupiter is still retrograde this month asking us to pull in a bit and carefully evaluate next steps and ways to conserve energy while making the most impact.  The theme of creating systems to fix situations where you were spread to thin continues. Again this month, the energy supports fewer brilliantly placed actions that are supported by inner certainty rather than a bunch of random, haphazard, uncertain efforts.

 

I LOVE this time for well-planned action and intuitive spontaneity.  It is also great for hiring professionals to help you with managing your load.

 

There are a TON of awesome transits in May!  As in April, in May most of the ‘sweet’ days are coupled with potentially challenging transits making it even more necessary to tune into your personal flow when taking action.  There is a flow of sweet transits between May 11 and May 18 that is less impeded by stressful counterparts than the other parts of the month. For this reason I love launches and other important steps placed mid-month as there may be less to work against progress at this time.

 

Look out for sweet vibes in the days around May 1, 2, 4, 8, 9, 11-18, 22, 23, 26, 30.

 

Be aware of an increase in the likelihood of stress, challenges, and overstimulation, or general awkwardness in the days around May 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 9, 18, 23, 29, 30.

May 1 —  Mercury in Aries Sextile Mars in Gemini (and Mercury in Aries Square Saturn in Capricorn) —  Communication and action blend beautifully with the first transit while the second can bring harsh criticism, obstacles, or wake-up calls.  One of the many times this month where a beautiful aspect is flanked by a contradictory one.  Feel it out for yourself and proceed as is in your flow.

   

 

 

May 2 —  Mercury in Aries Square Pluto in Capricorn (and Mercury in Aries Trine Jupiter in Sagittarius) —  Antagonism is a key note with this first aspect while full support is characteristic of the second!  Another situation this month of total opposite energies flowing at exactly the same time.

 

 

May 4 — New Moon at 14° of Taurus — Time for New Moon Wishes on the topics of Taurus!  See my blog about this for more details.  This New Moon has a sweet concurrent aspect with Neptune.

 

 

May 5 — Mars in Gemini Opposing Jupiter in Sagittarius —  Overzealousness can be tempting now but likely not without consequence.  Protect from overexertion and hurry.  Blocks that come up now may be annoying but things could still work out.

 

May 7 — Venus in Aries Square Saturn in Capricorn —  Harshness in love or money is more likely now.  Self-esteem could take a hit.  It is not a time to force things with this transit and the one on May 5.

 

May 8 —  Mercury in Taurus Conjunct Uranus in Taurus (and Sun in Taurus Sextile Neptune in Pisces) - One aspect today is super sweet but they are sandwiched between challenges and the Mercury/Uranus line-up could go either way.  The chances for ‘earth-shaking’ - literally and figuratively, are higher now.   

 

May 9 —  Venus in Aries Trine Jupiter in Sagittarius  (and Venus in Aries Square Pluto in Capricorn) -  What a crazy month of opposites! This aspect with Venus and Jupiter is among my all-time favorite aspects!  Sweetness in love and money plus boosts to self-esteem are likely HOWEVER it occurs at the same time Venus makes a challenging aspect to Pluto.

 

May 11 —  Sun in Taurus Trine Saturn in Capricorn - I love this aspect for long-term actions or any other important steps. Practical or well-planned directives can really shine now.

 

May 13 —  Sun in Taurus Trine Pluto in Capricorn - This is another one of my faves of the month for doing important things!  Creative expression tied into permanent plans are really supported by this transit.

 

May 14 —  Venus in Aries Sextile Mars in Gemini - I so love this mid-month for everything!  Here is another beautiful aspect.  I love this one for romance, love, adventure, radical healing, travel, business, and everything else!!

 

May 15 —   Mercury in Taurus Sextile Neptune in Pisces  — More awesomeness mid-month with practical expression blending seamlessly with intuition.  A beautiful blending of heart and mind.

 

 

May 16 —  Mercury in Taurus Trine Saturn in Capricorn  — Concrete outcomes from past efforts can come in now and also a fantastic time to plant seeds for anything you want to grow in the future.  An awesome transit for launches and taking big steps.

 

 

May 17-18   —  Mercury in Taurus Trine Pluto in Capricorn  — Support from people with resources you need could come through beautifully now.  I love this time for making big purchases or contracts for closings at a later time.  Money could come in out of the blue or from past efforts.

 

 

May 18  —  Full Moon at 27° of Scorpio (also with Venus in Taurus Conjunct Uranus in Taurus)  —  Fullness, completion, drama, breakthroughs come in the areas of all things Scorpio (money, intimacy, relationships, mystical and psychological pursuits and more!  See more about the areas ruled by Scorpio and how to maximize this Full Moon in my blog on the topic.)  Venus and Uranus conjunct in Taurus brings massive increase in intensity for better or worse.  Surprises in love and money are very likely and ‘earth-shaking’ and ‘ground-breaking’ events (possibly ‘literally’) are more likely, again for better or worse.

 

 

 

May 22 — Mars in Cancer Sextile Uranus in Taurus — Positive surprises often come with this transit.  Genius ideas are more likely to make it into conscious awareness.  Write down these amazing ideas as the energy can be fleeting. This is a great aspect for patents or other securing of forward-thinking or other intellectual information or plans.

 

May 23 — Mercury in Gemini Sextile Chiron in Aries (and Mars in Cancer Square Chiron in Aries) — Health and wellness advancements or other positive boosts can come with the first transit while the second one can encourage the bringing up of woundedness or an injury.  The combo of the two could bring a positive outcome to a challenge.

 

 

May 26 — Sun in Gemini Sextile Chiron in Aries  — Self-assured modesty can bring great praise and recognition with this transit :)

 

 

May 29 — Mercury in Gemini Square Neptune in Pisces  — Uncertainty, confusion, deception, and breeches to privacy are more likely now.  Guard against this with prudence and focus on prevention and a back-up plan before this time.

 

 

May 30 — Venus in Taurus Sextile Neptune in Pisces (and Mercury in Gemini Opposing Jupiter in Sagittarius) —  Creative inspiration often flows with Venus Sextile Neptune.  Seeing things from a different angle could bring breakthroughs.  Mercury opposing Jupiter lends itself to overdoing.  commitments could be ok now but try to be conservative with promises.  Guard immune systems and against injuries.

 

 

May 31 —  Venus in Taurus Trine Saturn in Capricorn —  A great aspect for long-term commitments and gains and important decisions.
