April 2016 ~ "Keeping the BEACH Vibe"
The beginning of April will bring the same flurry of activity and changes that have been the
keynotes of February and March. More personal planets will move into Aries bringing that familiar need for action. For the previous two months, there has been much freedom of movement and productivity. The desire for that flow to continue will be strong, and yet with Mars and Mercury going retrograde this month, the flow will likely be interrupted, causing the potential for frustration. Planning your activities, launches, forward movement on any front, for the time before April, then planning
for a lull and probable hindrances in April and the months to follow, is the way to go. Some activities will be magically supported during this time, mostly the ones that are drawing from the past - redoing, reworking, rethinking, etc. and not implementing new ideas, launches, initiations, etc.
To help you get into the planetary flow of this time ...
Imagine you are on vacation, on a beautiful beach, with warm breezes, kicked back on a lounge chair, with some kind of drink with a decorative umbrella. Interrupting the peaceful moment, your mind starts to roll with all the things you should be doing. Then you remember reading an astrology article that recommended for this time to do only what really has to be done or what is flowing naturally (other than launches and new endeavors) and even to scrutinize previous
definitions of what "has to be done".
You decide to take this great advice and make a list of what has to be done, then you revaluate it and remove some items. You joyfully attend to the rest of the list, with a relaxed approach, if something proves too troublesome, you either reconsider its necessity, or breathe, stretch, put it into a bigger perspective, and resume your focus on it. You maintain this beach vibe whether or not you ever
set foot on a beach during this time.
The alternative picture could look like this ...
You feel the pressure of the energy of Aries telling you to take action. You try to move forward only to have one thing after another block your progress. You feel frustrated and angry! Changes, miscommunications, setbacks, technological and transportation issues
all abound. You try to force forward movement. The more you try, the greater the force seems against you. Old patterns and situations are making themselves present, things you want to avoid, so you try to busy yourself with taking action to take your mind off of the annoying patterns coming up. You are busy all day, stressed out, and feel like you got nowhere.
So which will you
choose?
The option to be comfortably productive is hidden underneath the more prominent experience of frustration at this time. Re-evaluating how you use your energy and making shifts that help you work smarter as opposed to harder will help you get the most from this transit.

April 7 -- New Moon in Aries -- This is it! One of the best days of the year (the
other being your birthday) for creating a visionboard -- a virtual or literal board that captures the energies that you want to bring in during the upcoming year.
April 9 -- Sun in Aries Conjunct Uranus in Aries -- This time sizzles with surprise possibilities! Sudden changes of direction may come up that make you feel excited and alive. Also, be extra aware with electric, fire, or other things that jolt or flame,
and especially guard your head region.
April 17 -- Mars Retrograde in Sagittarius -- Mars and Mercury go retrograde this month. If ever there were a time for launches or trying to blaze forward with things based in your own will or agenda, that time is not now. You will have been feeling this slow down coming and lethargy or obstacles will be settling in very quickly if they haven't already. Things may start to
work out for you that you already put in place and the things that come, will come to you, as opposed to you chasing or forcing. April 18 -- Pluto Retrograde in Capricorn -- Retrograde suits Pluto and brings deep dives into the
unseen and unknown. This transit favors research, investigations, and psychological and spiritual studies.
April 21-22 -- Full Moon at 2 degrees of Scorpio -- Fullness, completion, culmination, and often drama comes at the time of the Full Moon, all applied to everything Scorpio - Collaborations, shared finances, birth, death, rebirth, mysteries, research, deep intimacy, marriage, family or spousal money, in-law's,
credit, debt, to name a few.
April 22 -- Venus in Aries Conjunct Uranus in Aries -- This brings intense, surprise experiences with money, love, and beauty! Be especially cautious at this time as it is not the best for making big purchases, new love, or big beauty decisions.
April 28 -- Mercury Retrograde in Taurus -- This transit brings
