October 2025 Astrology ~ SWEET SURGE WINDOW! Two Waves of Starry Gold Amid Eclipse Echoes

Here are some top points to know about the October 2025 Astrology. See my October 2025 Horoscope Videos/Podcasts  for more details and also in the date specific notes towards the end of this written report:

October continues the intensity of September, but as the month progresses, the energy shifts. Once again this month, we have more salty aspects than sweet ones, but there are still NINE wonderful starry connections whose vibrance you will feel, especially during the last ten days of the month. By then, the eclipse shocks that have been rolling through in increasing intensity from the middle of July, hitting their strongest point throughout September and early October, will start to fade into the “new normal” that will come from the eclipse changes.

2. We are still out of personal planet retrogrades and their shadow periods until around October 21.

This works out very well to be able to have more clarity on taking action from eclipse news. All of September and the first three weeks of October are some of the best times for action in the whole year but eclipse news may be delivered in stages so follow your gut on timing as more information may be brought through the month and even beyond, that may affect what you do with the opportunities and challenges that may present at this time.

The “open window” free from personal planet retrogrades and their shadow periods runs from August 26 - October 21 and is the last such window of the year.

3. The Eclipse Story: Still in the Heat of the Eclipses but the drama fades quickly as the month progresses!

After a dramatic ending to the 2-year era story of the Aries/Libra eclipse cycle and the second chapter in the very long (into 2027) Virgo/Pisces eclipse cycle in March and April, we had a break time in the latter part of May and all of June. July started the next eclipse season and you will see storylines begun towards the second half of 2024 continuing in their chapters now as we focus only on the Pisces/Virgo eclipse cycle and have a Lunar Eclipse at 15° of Pisces on September 7 and a Solar Eclipse at 29° on September 21. 

The eclipse “season” starts 4-6 (and sometimes even 8 weeks BEFORE the first eclipse, sometimes even earlier as the eclipse stories are working even in the backdrop for the full years that the eclipse cycle is in effect) so as August progressed, new information likely came in as the eclipse stories in motion evolved. Then in September, the intensity level of karmic hello’s and goodbye’s and other life-changing experiences will start to heat up as the month progresses and this will continue into October, with the energy starting to lessen as the month progresses. You may see themes that began at the end of last year come back up with new chapters.

Pisces/Virgo eclipse stories will still be an under current until 2027, with the lessons and changes popping into the forefront every 4-6 months during eclipse season.

October is a time to respond to the information that has come in, and get any last projects or big decisions that need some OOMPH to manifest and maintain. Use well the time up until around October 21 when we will start to slide into “earthworm” mode of going back over old things to bring them to completion and “standing on the shore” mode, watching to see what the tides bring in instead of trying to force actions out on incoming tides.

4. We have 2 super-concentrated zodiac stars this month, Libra and Scorpio (with some Virgo pieces remaining until mid-month).

The Sun will be in Libra from September 23 - October 24, Mercury from September 19 - October 7, and Venus from October 14 - November 7.

October brings a beautiful stretch of cosmic balance as the Sun, Mercury, and Venus all move through the sign of Libra, highlighting the gifts of harmony, grace, and connection. This is a rare blend of energies—our core focus (Sun), our thoughts and communications (Mercury), and our relationships and values (Venus) are all speaking the same Libran language.

When the Sun is in Libra, our awareness naturally shifts toward finding equilibrium—between work and rest, giving and receiving, logic and intuition. Mercury here brings diplomacy to our words and opens our minds to other perspectives, making it easier to see both sides of a situation and find middle ground. Venus, ruling planet of Libra, adds charm and a deep appreciation for beauty, drawing us toward experiences, people, and environments that uplift and inspire.

This is an excellent time for initiating collaborations, mending relationships, and making decisions that require mutual respect and cooperation. It’s also a fertile season for creative pursuits, especially those that weave together different viewpoints or styles into something unified and elegant.

To work with these alignments, slow down enough to truly listen—in conversations, in your own inner dialogue, and in the way life is speaking to you through synchronicities. Choose activities that restore balance in your life, whether that’s bringing more order to your space, tending to your self-care, or spending time in settings that feel aesthetically and energetically nourishing. October’s Libra flow is here to remind us that when we create harmony within, it naturally radiates out into everything we touch. 

The Sun will be in Scorpio from around October 24 - November 23, Mercury will be there from around October 7 - October 30, and Mars will be there from September 23 - November 5.

October’s later days turn the cosmic tides inward and deeper as the Sun, Mercury, and Mars all move through transformative Scorpio. With Mars—co-ruler of Scorpio—traveling through its own sign, this energy runs strong, focused, and unapologetically intense. This is not surface-level astrology. It’s about truth, depth, and the courage to face what’s real.

The Sun in Scorpio illuminates the hidden layers of life—motivations, emotional undercurrents, and unspoken truths—making this a powerful time for personal breakthroughs. Mercury here sharpens perception and instinct, giving conversations an investigative edge. We’re more likely to ask the questions that get to the heart of the matter and to listen for what’s unsaid as much as what’s spoken.

Mars in Scorpio fuels determination and persistence. It’s a drive that doesn’t tire easily, especially when pursuing something meaningful. This combination can help you cut through distractions, release what no longer serves you, and take purposeful action toward transformation.

To align with these transits, follow your curiosity inward. Be willing to let go of old patterns, to have the deeper conversations, and to direct your energy toward what matters most. When Mars moves through its own sign, the power to act with clarity and conviction is yours—use it well. 

Venus lingering in Virgo through October 14 gives layers of focus on details and pushing through monotonous tasks that are necessary for daily life and major goals.

Here are some very notable dates to look out for as aspects occur on these days. The days may be staggered in different time zones and all of the aspects last longer than just the day they are on so look out for manifestations BEFORE and AFTER the aspect dates. 

Note, if a date is listed more than once for a sweet or salty, that is because there are MULTIPLE aspects that day!

SWEET ~ Wonderful boosts are more likely on or around these days: 8, 14, 14, 24, 25, 27-28, 29, 29, and 30.

SALTY ~ Drama or stress are more likely in the days around: 1, 3, 4, 6-7, 7, 9, 11, 13, 16-17, 17, 23, 23, 24, 24, 27, and 29.

October 6 ~ Full Moon at 14° of Aries SUPERMOON!

October 21 ~ New Moon at 28° of Libra

Work with this moon by setting intentions around independence, courage, and authentic self-expression. Move your body to channel heightened energy—exercise, dance, or even an invigorating walk can clear restlessness. Address lingering conflicts with honesty but temper words with respect. 

This is an excellent time to release fear-based hesitation and step into leadership roles, whether in personal or professional life. Meditate on your core desires and take one bold action toward them. Trust your instincts, but pause long enough to ensure your choices serve your long-term vision. Boldness now plants the seeds for transformative momentum ahead.

ASPECTS TO BE EXTRA CAREFUL & AWAREFUL:

Salty Summary:

There are 16 salty aspects this month and the aspects themselves plus their range of potential manifestation covers every day in October!

As always, it is most important to remember that this type of salty sequence of aspects doesn’t just have to be bad!

I use the word “salty” to describe the connections that are either incoherent or pressured (or both). Often aspects like these can break you out of something you have been trapped in, by offering incentive of some kind to make the effort to do something different. Like getting a new lawn helper because yours is not reliable… It may be a pain when they don’t show up and having to go through finding and getting a new one orientated to your needs is work, but maybe they will be even better than the service before! So please don’t fear this month just because the ratio of sweet aspects is different than it has been for a while!

Of the 16 salty aspects, 5 of them are oppositions. These are on the 3, 11, 13, 17, and 29. In the days around these aspects, expect to get tested, to feel pulled in opposite directions. Since these aspects are littered throughout the month, the experience of opposition will be a theme.

Here is more to know about the energetics of this type of aspect, what could be great from them, and what to be careful of:

An opposition in astrology occurs when two planets sit directly across from each other, creating a dynamic pull between opposing signs and energies. 

This aspect often feels like a tug-of-war, yet its true gift lies in integration—learning to honor both sides rather than choosing one over the other. 

Oppositions can bring awareness through mirrors, as others reflect qualities we must recognize in ourselves. They spark growth by pushing us out of extremes into balance. 

The challenge is avoiding projection, polarity, or “all-or-nothing” thinking. When approached with openness, oppositions can lead to breakthroughs, deeper self-understanding, and more harmonious relationships with others.

Of all the aspects this month, the longest lasting and the most profound effects will likely come from the one on October 23, Jupiter in Cancer Square Chiron in Aries. This is because it is between two OUTER planets, whereas the others are between one inner planet and one outer planet, which are shorter in duration and intensity.

While the official aspect happens on October 23, the influence of this connection gets strong in the middle of September and will be VERY STRONG ALL of OCTOBER, NOVEMBER, DECEMBER, and beyond!

Jupiter in Cancer square Chiron in Aries is a long-lasting aspect that blends expansion, healing, and vulnerability in a way that invites deep personal growth. Jupiter in Cancer amplifies themes of emotional security, family, belonging, and the desire to nurture. Chiron in Aries exposes wounds around identity, independence, and the courage to assert oneself. The square creates tension between caring for others and standing fully in your own power.

On the high side, this aspect can bring profound healing in family dynamics, self-confidence, and emotional resilience. It encourages you to grow beyond old patterns, reclaim your voice, and blend compassion with self-assertion. Insights gained now can ripple out to improve both personal relationships and your sense of inner stability.

Pitfalls may include overprotectiveness, emotional overextension, or reacting defensively when old identity wounds are triggered. The square can make it easy to retreat into comfort zones or, conversely, to push too hard for independence in a way that alienates support.

To make lemonade from any lemons, consciously work on integrating self-nurturing with self-leadership. Practice setting boundaries without guilt, and approach discomfort as a guide to deeper healing. The slow, steady nature of this transit allows you to build lasting strength from the inside out.

I really do not like this aspect going on during hurricane season in the Atlantic and Gulf or similar times in areas worldwide. Have a game plan, stay proactive, and blend logic and intuition to not miss anything important during this time.

MY TOP FAVE ASPECTS OF OCTOBER 2025:

Remember that you can experience the good vibes BEFORE and AFTER the dates listed as the web of influence extends beyond the day of exact connection. 

Once again this month, the sweet aspects are clustered into 2 main timeframe sets.

The first is from October 8 - 14, with a radius of manifestation around October 4 - October 17.

These aspects are THREE Venus aspects, brightening love, finances, sel-esteem, and beauty/design:

This is a beautiful day for trying something new in love, style, or self-expression. Expect conversations that open doors and liberate you from outdated patterns while bringing joy and stimulation.

October 14 ~ Venus in Libra Trine Pluto in Aquarius

Magnetic, transformative energy surrounds relationships and creative endeavors. Emotional connections deepen, revealing truth and mutual empowerment.
