Checklist for Making the Most of Leo Season

Leo season, from approximately July 23 to August 22, brings the Sun home to its ruling sign. This is a powerful opportunity to tune into where you shine in your life and do more of that! The spotlight of the Sun brings its focus to what LIGHTS YOU UP, or how I like to describe it, what makes you feel like all of your cells are sunflowers lifting up with joy towards the Sun.

You may already know some of these activities that bring this feeling, and now is the time to dive into those, or to be open to finding new things that elicit such happiness.

Below are some more supportive ways to consciously connect with the gifts of this time.

Lead with Heart

Check in with your "why":
Reconnect with your inner motivation. Why do you do what you do? Why does it matter to you? Let your heart lead your to-do list.

Name what you’re proud of:
Write down at least three things you’ve done that you’re truly proud of—not because they impressed others, but because they meant something to you.

Step Into Visibility (Your Own Way)

Clarify your message:
What do you wish others really knew about you? Now is a great time to express that—through words, art, action, or presence.

Make space to be seen:
Whether it’s a small group, social post, or deeper conversation, give yourself safe opportunities to show more of who you truly are.

Engage in Creative Expression

Make something just because:
Write, paint, build, sing, choreograph, design—without worrying about it being useful or perfect. Let your creative life breathe.

Create an altar or space that reflects your joy:
Gather objects, quotes, colors, and textures that remind you of what lights you up.

Practice Brave Joy

Say yes to something fun without overthinking:
Spontaneity is powerful medicine this season. Let joy call the shots—just once or twice.

Celebrate something small with ceremony:
Mark a tiny milestone—something you've completed, released, or begun—with your favorite treat, a special song, or lighting a candle.

Honor Loyalty and the People You Love

Reach out to someone who has shown up for you:
Leo season reminds us of the value of loyal love. Send a note, a voice message, or make a call just to say thank you.

Tell someone the real reason you appreciate them:
Move past the generic and into the golden-hearted truth of what makes someone meaningful to you.

Nurture the Fire Within

Spend time in the sun (with care):
Whether it’s 5 minutes or an afternoon, let natural sunlight touch your skin and awaken your spirit.

Reignite a passion project:
Return to something you used to love working on—or start something new that sparks excitement. No pressure, just play.

One note about this time is that if there is something that makes you feel great, but you know is really working against your true happiness, this could be a time when you evaluate your motives and start to align with a higher version of your happiness.
