March 2025 Astrology ~ MARCHing Into One of the Most INTENSE Months of the YEAR!

Here are some top points to know about the March 2025 Astrology. See my March 2025 Horoscope Videos/Podcasts  for more details and also in the date specific notes towards the end of this written report:

A whole new cycle begins this month as we begin a NEW ASTROLOGICAL YEAR starting with the Sun’s movement in Aries in the days around March 21st.

The combination of the New Astrological Year, Lots of FIRE (through Aries transits), and TWO eclipses AND Venus AND Mercury RETROGRADE will make this ONE OF THE MOST INTENSE MONTHS of the WHOLE YEAR!

1. Again this month, as in February, we have many more sweet aspects compared to salty ones! Something else I am so happy to report is that there are only TWO aspects this month that are clearly challenged, which is unusually low! Another notable point to mention is that we have an unusual amount of conjunctions this month, which are an aspect that could go either way (so not clearly sweet or salty). Considering the fact that March could be one of the most intense months of the year because of the TWO eclipses (more on this later), it is very helpful that we don’t also have a bunch of extra static from the connections made by the stars at this time.

2. The retrograde story: VENUS SHIFTS RETROGRADE THIS MONTH!

As of January 28, Venus retrograde pre-shadow began. Now, on March 1, Venus will officially go retro until April 13, with the post-shadow transit period lasting until May 17.

Venus rules love and relationships, money and finances, design and aesthetics, comfort and security. So ALOT of areas to be affected by this transit!

But a few things to note as a summary:

Venus rules many areas of life! Love and relationships, money and finance, appearance and design, comfort and luxury, and more! In retrograde, we tend to re-think these areas, reconsider how we have been doing things in these arenas, and shift perceptions about our values regarding these topics.

Something I love to share as a great way to work with personal planet retros (Mercury, Venus, Mars) is EXPERIMENTATION, and particularly what I refer to as LOW STAKES EXPERIMENTATION. There is a fleeting or transient nature to retrogrades that can be consciously utilized instead of working against it. If something is easily changeable if it doesn’t work out, there is no downside (or minimal) if it works out differently than planned, and it feels in the flow, it matches retro.

I will give you a personal example to help you understand the energy so you can better apply it as the opportunities present throughout this cycle.

One day, in a Venus retrograde, I had someone contact me via email asking if they could be my affiliate. I was very surprised about this because daily I receive correspondence from people wanting ME to be THEIR affiliate, aka sell their stuff, and I say no to all of it because I want my public offerings to you to be as clear as possible. But here was an inquiry from someone wanting to promote MY Astrology Mastery Certification Course. That had never happened before! Venus was in retro so I proceeded carefully with my full Venus retro checklist (which you can find in my book, Planetology ~ How to Align with the Natural Rhythms of the Universe), but here are a few important points of my consideration that you can take in… It was low stakes (meaning, if they didn’t send anyone, no transaction occurred but nothing was lost/no cost to me), the financial aspect was taken care of by a third party vendor that I was already working with so that was “safe”, so nothing would be lost if it didn’t work out.

What wound up happening was nothing short of miraculous! The relationship was strong until the person sold their business, which included my affiliate relationship. The time it was in effect for was around 1.5 years.

This is a typical timeframe during which things tend to “change” from what was agreed to at the time of the start.

So, if you hear someone say, “Never start anything new during a retrograde”, this is a very diluted, mostly not true statement. Avoid starting anything new that you are not ok with being shorter-term or a segue to something else, would be a more true statement. There are subtleties to working with retrogrades that you can learn about with my work (see your free access to my Retrograde Resource Page) to see more about this. I try to bring you all along into deeper understandings of how to work with retrogrades with every cycle we have.

Mars retro update:

Mars officially went retrograde December 6, 2024 and will stay moving backwards until February 23-24, 2025, with Mars regaining full steam into May 2025.

Mars retro is a LONG transit, especially when you take the shadow periods into account (which we must!) and this transit runs right into Venus retro in 2025 making it until late Spring 2025 (Fall for you all down under) before we untangle from the personal planet retro web. Since the Mars retro influence will still waning but still present, I will keep the retro list available here for you to consider:

Some GREAT things to do during Mars retro (and its’ shadow periods are):

~ Reflect and re-evaluate

~ Review and resolve past conflicts and negative patterns

~ Rest and rejuvenate

~ Revisit and Re-do things that worked before

~ Reduce ambitions and stay open to the flow instead of an agenda

~ Rather than focusing on outward ambitions, re-focus into “inner work”

~ Reassess vitality and health and implement strategies that restore vibrance

Mars retro is great for vacations and staycations, therapy/inner work, leaving room in your schedule to follow any (healthy) obsessions that come up (as for many, they will! Or unhealthy ones may have to be re-directed into better routes for maximum happiness :) )

3. The end of January into February started eclipse season, and March is THE MOST INTENSE time for eclipse manifestations since both eclipses are in! Stay up on the eclipse storylines in process, as a member of my Free VIP community, you have access to my Eclipse Resource Page. 

The most important thing to know now is that with this is a time where radical changes may appear suddenly and karmic clearing can be rapid and especially thorough. We have two polarities still at play at this time, Aries/Libra (the last chapter of a series running since early 2023), and Pisces/Virgo, the second chapter in a series that began in the second half of 2024 and will run into early 2027. March 13/14, 2025 Lunar Eclipse at 23° of Virgo

March 29, 2025 Solar Eclipse at 9° of Aries

4. The main zodiac stars this month are Pisces and Aries, with a touch of Cancer.

The Sun moving through Pisces from around February 19 through around March 20 and Mercury moving through Pisces from around February 15 through March 4 bring a softer side to relationships and personal expression, a trend that is deeply supported by Mars’ extra long transit through fellow water sign, Cancer (see more in next section). This transit can trigger a need for quiet reflection time, working behind the scenes, and connecting with others in secret or private space. It is fantastic for artistic pursuits, relaxation, and retreat. It matches the Mars and Venus retro energies of going inward and backward and you may find yourself returning to ways of doing things in love, money, creative expression, or other habits, that worked before.

Venus in Aries from February 5 through March 27 (and then again from May 1 through June 5) bring a long flow of zest to all Venus ruled domains! While the impending retrograde can definitely be a zest-zapper, there is still an underlying spark, glowing embers, that burn bright under any rain that the retro may bring. Topics related to independence, autonomy, and authentic expression will be danced with for an extended period of time.

Any issues worked out during the first part of the Venus in Aries transit (February/March) will have a chance to push forward in marvelous ways when it is moving direct in Aries in May/June.

Mars in retrograde in Cancer, bringing back focus to home, family, housing, and real estate. This is an exceptionally long transit through this sign for Mars, usually Mars blows through a sign in a couple of months and this influence has been full on or close by since September 2024. Many opportunities are presenting to really dig deep and resolve foundational issues regarding Cancer-ruled topics and helping us to fine-tune how we use our energy. It is a long opportunity to radically change how we relate to our family members and our past. Chances for healing are profound and softness and consistency may resolve long-standing issues. This is a time to make sure everyone in your life is heard in deeper ways and for you to feel and be heard by those closest to you.

Here are some very notable dates to look out for as aspects occur on these days. The days may be staggered in different time zones and all of the aspects last longer than just the day they are on so look out for manifestations BEFORE and AFTER the aspect dates:

SWEET ~ Wonderful boosts are more likely on or around these days: 5, 7-8, 14, 21, 23, and 25.

SALTY ~ Drama or stress are more likely in the days around: 2 and 26 (that’s all!.

Dates of transits that could go either way: 11, 12, 19, 22, 24, 27, and 29. 

Of these, only the bolded ones are most notable, the others are personal planet interactions which tend to be much less consequential and with a shorter burst of expression.

Note, if a date is listed more than once for a sweet or salty, that is because there are MULTIPLE aspects that day!
