February 2025 Astrology ~ A Relay Race of Slow Downs & Speed Up’s + More

Here are some top points to know about the February 2025 Astrology. See my February 2025 Horoscope Videos/Podcasts  for more details and also in the date specific notes towards the end of this written report:

1. I am always happy to report that we have more sweet aspects compared to salty as we do this month! I am also equally happy to report notably NOT BUSY skies from the perspective of aspects. Aspects are when planets come together in a meaningful mathematic connection and when there are fewer aspects, the energy is more clear. We don’t have a ton of aspects this month, but there are many connections to celebrate and a few to watch out for. I will outline these in the last section of this report.

2. The retrograde story: MARS SHIFTING DIRECT THIS MONTH!

Mars officially went retrograde December 6, 2024 and will stay moving backwards until February 23-24, 2025. 

Mars retro is a LONG transit, especially when you take the shadow periods into account (which we must!) and this transit runs right into Venus retro in 2025 making it until late Spring 2025 (Fall for you all down under) before we untangle from the personal planet retro web. Even though Mars shifts direction around February 23 (or 24th depending on your time zone), and we WILL feel many things COMING BACK TO LIFE and starting to PUSH FORWARD, it will take until May 2025 for Mars to regain its’ full steam AND we fully enter Venus Retro March 1, 2025 so as certain things speed up, others will slow down! 

It is like a relay race of slowdowns and speedup’s!

Since the Mars retro influence will still be in effect, I will keep the retro list available here for you to consider:

Some GREAT things to do during Mars retro (and its’ shadow periods are):

~ Reflect and re-evaluate

~ Review and resolve past conflicts and negative patterns

~ Rest and rejuvenate

~ Revisit and Re-do things that worked before

~ Reduce ambitions and stay open to the flow instead of an agenda

~ Rather than focusing on outward ambitions, re-focus into “inner work”

~ Reassess vitality and health and implement strategies that restore vibrance

Mars retro is great for vacations and staycations, therapy/inner work, leaving room in your schedule to follow any (healthy) obsessions that come up (as for many, they will! Or unhealthy ones may have to be re-directed into better routes for maximum happiness :) )

Mars retro can also affect ambition. It may make you obsessed with something, to the exclusion of it, forgetting about and neglecting everything else, or could make even the most ambition person be seriously ready to chill out! I always look forward to Mars retro because it is so much easier to do less!

Then, as of January 28, we added Venus retrograde pre-shadow to the mix! Now, on March 1, Venus will officially go retro until April 13, with the post-shadow transit period lasting until May 17.

Venus rules love and relationships, money and finances, design and aesthetics, comfort and security. So ALOT of areas to be affected by this transit! 

3. February will start eclipse season again and some noteworthy new or events are possible even in the second half of January. Stay up on the eclipse storylines in process, as a member of my Free VIP community, you have access to my Eclipse Resource Page. The most important thing to know now is that with every day we move through February, the likelihood for eclipse-related news and events increase dramatically! This is a time where radical changes may appear suddenly and karmic clearing can be rapid and especially thorough. We have two polarities still at play at this time, Aries/Libra (the last chapter of a series running since early 2023), and Pisces/Virgo, the second chapter in a series that began in the second half of 2024 and will run into early 2027. March 13/14, 2025 Lunar Eclipse at 23° of Virgo

March 29, 2025 Solar Eclipse at 9° of Aries

4. The main zodiac stars this month are Aquarius, Pisces, Aries and Cancer!

Aquarius energies through the Sun starting around January 20 through February 19 and Mercury starting around January 29 through around February 15, will bring in many themes related to social relationships and interactions, digital discoveries and decisions, futuristic topics, and community-based agendas. Networking and lending your creative efforts to a great cause are great ways to use this energy.

The Sun moving through Pisces from around February 19 through around March 20 and Mercury moving through Pisces from around February 15 through March 4 bring a softer side to relationships and personal expression, a trend that is deeply supported by Mars’ extra long transit through fellow water sign, Cancer (see more in next section). This transit can trigger a need for quiet reflection time, working behind the scenes, and connecting with others in secret or private space. It is fantastic for artistic pursuits, relaxation, and retreat. It matches the Mars and Venus retro energies of going inward and backward and you may find yourself returning to ways of doing things in love, money, creative expression, or other habits, that worked before.

Venus in Aries from February 5 through March 27 (and then again from May 1 through June 5) bring a long flow of zest to all Venus ruled domains! While the impending retrograde can definitely be a zest-zapper, there is still an underlying spark, glowing embers, that burn bright under any rain that the retro may bring. Topics related to independence, autonomy, and authentic expression will be danced with for an extended period of time.

Any issues worked out during the first part of the Venus in Aries transit (February/March) will have a chance to push forward in marvelous ways when it is moving direct in Aries in May/June.

Mars in retrograde in Cancer, bringing back focus to home, family, housing, and real estate. This is an exceptionally long transit through this sign for Mars, usually Mars blows through a sign in a couple of months and this influence has been full on or close by since September 2024. Many opportunities are presenting to really dig deep and resolve foundational issues regarding Cancer-ruled topics and helping us to fine-tune how we use our energy. It is a long opportunity to radically change how we relate to our family members and our past. Chances for healing are profound and softness and consistency may resolve long-standing issues. This is a time to make sure everyone in your life is heard in deeper ways and for you to feel and be heard by those closest to you.

Here are some very notable dates to look out for as aspects occur on these days. The days may be staggered in different time zones and all of the aspects last longer than just the day they are on so look out for manifestations BEFORE and AFTER the aspect dates:

SWEET ~ Wonderful boosts are more likely on or around these days: 3, 7, 7-8, 8, 9, 23, and 27.

SALTY ~ Drama or stress are more likely in the days around: 3, 7, 10, 11, and 20.

Dates of transits that could go either way: 18 and 21.

Note, when a date is listed more than once for a sweet or salty, that is because there are MULTIPLE aspects that day!

ASPECTS TO BE EXTRA CAREFUL & AWAREFUL AROUND:

The stars have fewer challenged connections this month. There are 4 Squares that will no doubt bring some days of tensions, along with impetus for breakthroughs! Sometimes we have to be sufficiently annoyed by something to actually make the necessary changes that can prevent these problems from occurring again and Squares tend to be involved those annoyances!

We are, however, free from mega challenged aspects (like the outer planet clashes and Mars/Pluto drama-bringers, that we have had over the last few months).

The ones to most look out for this month are:

February 3 ~ Mars in Cancer Square Chiron in Aries

Tensions at home, with family, and housing

Bumps to self-esteem and confidence

Harsh criticism

February 10 ~ Mercury in Aquarius Square Uranus in Taurus 

February 11 ~ Sun in Aquarius Square Uranus in Taurus

For these two Squares with Uranus:

Unpleasant jolts - physically - be extra careful with your body! Driving, moving around, etc.

And jolts in the form of difficult or surprising news or shocking events

February 20 ~ Mercury in Pisces Square Jupiter in Gemini

While Squares with Jupiter can sometimes be softer compared to those with other outer planets, the biggest thing to look out for here is overdoing, overcommitting, overextending in any way, and excess of any kind that could cause issue. This aspect mixed with the retrogrades increase the odds of agreement into something that you may later realize is harder to fulfill or carry out than you thought when you made the commitment. Keep commitments light and flexible for most ease from this energy.

MY TOP FAVE ASPECTS OF FEBRUARY 2025:

Remember that you can experience the good vibes BEFORE and AFTER the dates listed as the web of influence extends beyond the day of exact connection. 

We have so many fewer aspects this month than usual but more of them are sweet compared to salty and we do have 7 beautiful chances for bliss.

February 3 ~ Mercury in Aquarius Trine Jupiter in Gemini

This harmonious aspect brings mental clarity, optimism, and expansive thinking. Communication flows effortlessly, making it an excellent time for networking, brainstorming, and sharing big ideas. February 9 ~ Mars in Cancer Trine Saturn in Pisces

It’s an excellent time to work steadily on projects requiring both creativity and perseverance. Relationships can benefit from balanced emotional expression and commitment.
