April 2025 Astrology ~ ALL PLANETS DIRECT!! Rare Starry Phenomenon!!

Here are some top points to know about the April 2025 Astrology. See my April 2025 Horoscope Videos/Podcasts  for more details and also in the date specific notes towards the end of this written report:

Once Venus goes direct in the days around April 12, planetary momentum will blaze forward with ALL of the personal planets AND ALL of the outer planets moving direct!

We started the process of deep retrograde in September of 2024 and it is just NOW that we are finally breaking free of the inward and backward focus and the forward and outward process can dominate!

1. Again this month, as in February and March, we have many more sweet aspects compared to salty ones! And just like March, we have just a few clearly tough aspects, except this time, WITHOUT the extra stress of the eclipses! Again we have quite a few aspects that could go either way, and during these aspects, perspective can really shift experience.

2. The retrograde story: VENUS SHIFTS DIRECT THIS MONTH!

As of January 28, Venus retrograde pre-shadow began. Now, on March 1, Venus will officially go retro until April 13, with the post-shadow transit period lasting until May 17.

Venus rules love and relationships, money and finances, design and aesthetics, comfort and security. So ALOT of areas to be affected by this transit!

But a few things to note as a summary:

Venus rules many areas of life! Love and relationships, money and finance, appearance and design, comfort and luxury, and more! In retrograde, we tend to re-think these areas, reconsider how we have been doing things in these arenas, and shift perceptions about our values regarding these topics.

Something I love to share as a great way to work with personal planet retros (Mercury, Venus, Mars) is EXPERIMENTATION, and particularly what I refer to as LOW STAKES EXPERIMENTATION. There is a fleeting or transient nature to retrogrades that can be consciously utilized instead of working against it. If something is easily changeable if it doesn’t work out, there is no downside (or minimal) if it works out differently than planned, and it feels in the flow, it matches retro.

While you will definitely feel the energies start moving forward, Venusian ruled topics may still be a little sleepy or slower to blaze as it will take into mid - May for Venus to regain full strength.

Mars retro update:

Mars officially went retrograde December 6, 2024 and will stay moving backwards until February 23-24, 2025, with Mars regaining full steam into May 2025.

Mars retro is a LONG transit, especially when you take the shadow periods into account (which we must!) and this transit runs right into Venus retro in 2025 making it until late Spring 2025 (Fall for you all down under) before we untangle from the personal planet retro web. You may still notice the effects of Mars not quite being back up to speed but ambitions and direction still have a chance of becoming stronger every day.

3. The end of January into February started eclipse season, and March and April are THE MOST INTENSE times for eclipse manifestations. That second eclipse is at the end of March, just days before April so we are not out of the heat yet!

The most important thing to know now is that with this is a time where radical changes may appear suddenly and karmic clearing can be rapid and especially thorough. We have two polarities still at play at this time, Aries/Libra (the last chapter of a series running since early 2023), and Pisces/Virgo, the second chapter in a series that began in the second half of 2024 and will run into early 2027. March 13/14, 2025 Lunar Eclipse at 23° of Virgo

March 29, 2025 Solar Eclipse at 9° of Aries

Eclipse “season” is still in most noticeable effect until the end of May.

4. The main zodiac stars this month are Aries, Taurus, Pisces with a touch of Cancer.

Mars is in Cancer STILL until April 18 (after being in or close to Cancer since September 2024!), continues focus to home, family, housing, and real estate, wrapping up last chapters in the storylines that have been present during this cycle. This is an exceptionally long transit through this sign for Mars, usually Mars blows through a sign in a couple of months. Many opportunities are presenting to really dig deep and resolve foundational issues regarding Cancer-ruled topics and helping us to fine-tune how we use our energy. It is a long opportunity to radically change how we relate to our family members and our past. Chances for healing are profound and softness and consistency may resolve long-standing issues. This is a time to make sure everyone in your life is heard in deeper ways and for you to feel and be heard by those closest to you.

Here are some very notable dates to look out for as aspects occur on these days. The days may be staggered in different time zones and all of the aspects last longer than just the day they are on so look out for manifestations BEFORE and AFTER the aspect dates:

SWEET ~ Wonderful boosts are more likely on or around these days: 4, 4, 4, 6, 6, 7, 19, 20, and 20.

SALTY ~ Drama or stress are more likely in the days around: 20, 23, and 26 (that’s all!)

Dates of transits that could go either way: 7, 12, 16-17, and 24. 

Note, if a date is listed more than once for a sweet or salty, that is because there are MULTIPLE aspects that day!

The stars have UNUSUALLY FEW challenged connections this month. There are just 3 clashes that will no doubt bring some days of tension, and of these, there are only 2 that involve outer planets which will amplify the effects.

The ones to most look out for this month are:

April 23 ~ Sun in Taurus Square Pluto in Aquarius

What to Expect:

This transit brings power struggles, deep transformations, and a clash between stability and radical change. The Sun in Taurus seeks comfort, while Pluto in Aquarius pushes for upheaval and reinvention. Expect tensions in finances, self-worth, or authority structures, with a growing urge to break free from outdated systems.

 What to Watch Out For:

Control issues in relationships or leadership dynamics.

Sudden disruptions in security or material matters.

Feeling torn between tradition and innovation.

🍋 How to Make Lemonade:

Embrace evolution without resistance—growth comes from releasing what no longer serves you.

Redefine power on your terms—own your value without external validation.

Stay flexible—sometimes, destruction is necessary for breakthrough success.

April 26 ~ Mars in Leo Square Pluto in Aquarius (THE LAST OF THREE! Also happened in early November 2024 and Early January 2025) This aspect is long, expect to see manifestations up to 10 days before and after this date!

What to Expect:

This high-stakes, power-fueled transit marks the final chapter in a saga of willpower, dominance, and breaking through resistance. Mars in Leo is bold, proud, and relentless, while Pluto in Aquarius brings collective upheaval and deep transformation. This energy is explosive, competitive, and demanding of radical change.

What to Watch Out For:

Ego battles & power struggles—beware of unnecessary conflicts.

Sudden confrontations or dramatic endings—old power dynamics could shatter.

Recklessness & impulsive action—watch for overconfidence leading to miscalculated risks.

MY TOP FAVE ASPECTS OF APRIL 2025:

Remember that you can experience the good vibes BEFORE and AFTER the dates listed as the web of influence extends beyond the day of exact connection. 

We 3 x as many SWEET aspect than we do SALTY ones this month!

Put a big star in your calendar in the days around April 4-6 when we will have FIVE great aspects!

They are all great but my faves of these five are:

April 4 ~ Saturn in Pisces Sextile Uranus in Taurus ~ This one is very long-lasting as it is between two outer planets. You may see this one at work from February 2025 - June 2025 (or even before and after then!) but it will be strongest throughout the whole month of April!

What’s Great About It:

Blending structure with innovation – This is a rare opportunity to build something lasting while embracing flexibility.

Steady but progressive change – Instead of chaotic shifts, you can implement changes in a way that feels natural and sustainable.

Turning dreams into reality – Saturn’s discipline supports Uranus’ breakthroughs, making it easier to manifest creative, spiritual, or financial goals.

April 4 ~ Mars in Cancer Trine Saturn in Pisces

This transit merges fire with magic, making it a perfect time to step into your dreams with inspired, effortless action!

TOP ASPECTS IN APRIL 2025 THAT COULD GO EITHER WAY:

This month we have 4 aspects that are ones that could go either way, or both (sweet or salty).

Here are the most notable ones to watch:

In the days around April 7 and then again on April 24, Venus and Saturn will be conjunct in Pisces.

Look out for harshness or rude awakening’s in love or money. Conversely, it could manifest as an important and wonderful step in romance or finances.

This aspect happens twice this month because the first time is when Venus is in retro, and the second time is when it joins Saturn again when moving direct.

Guard your head/brain/face in the days around April 12, as the Sun in Aries will be conjunct with Chiron. Embarrassment or some kind of old wound may resurface at this time. On the positive side, motivation to push past a limitation could be strong. You may feel a surge in strength to push past the last layer to something big!
