November 2024 Astrology ~ THE GREAT SAGITTARIAN TAKEOVER! + more ⭐

Here are some top points to know about the November 2024 Astrology. See my November 2024 Horoscope Videos/Podcasts  for more details and also in the date specific notes towards the end of this written report:

1. This is the fourth month in a row that has an annoying imbalance of salty aspects compared to sweet! But at least the ratio isn’t as far off this month as last month (only 4 more stressful clashes compared to the sweet connections) and the energies will blow through quickly and there are much fewer bumps than last month, plus, since we are in the tail end of eclipse season, things are calming down and there is overall much less intensity compared to September and October. (More on the eclipses later).

We also do have 7 sweet aspects to counterbalance the nuisance ones. I will talk about my favorites later on in this report.

2. The retrograde story:

September 12 and through October 6, we were in the last period free from personal planet retrogrades for a long while! This open period went until Mars retro shadow began on October 7. Mars retro is a LONG transit, especially when you take the shadow periods into account (which we must!) and this transit runs right into Venus retro in 2025 making it until late Spring 2025 (Fall for you all down under) before we untangle from the personal planet retro web. OFFICIAL MARS RETROGRADE is from December 6, 2024 - February 24, 2025 (with a long post-transit shadow period) but now as of October 7, every day will bring us deeper into the shadow period before the official retro and will amplify the things that tend to come with the retrograde transit.

Some GREAT things to do during Mars retro (and its’ shadow periods are):

~ Reflect and re-evaluate

~ Review and resolve past conflicts and negative patterns

~ Rest and rejuvenate

~ Revisit and Re-do things that worked before

~ Reduce ambitions and stay open to the flow instead of an agenda

~ Rather than focusing on outward ambitions, re-focus into “inner work”

~ Reassess vitality and health and implement strategies that restore vibrance

Mars retro is great for vacations and staycations, therapy/inner work, leaving room in your schedule to follow any (healthy) obsessions that come up (as for many, they will! Or unhealthy ones may have to be re-directed into better routes for maximum happiness :) )

Mars retro can also affect ambition. It may make you obsessed with something, to the exclusion of it, forgetting about and neglecting everything else, or could make even the most ambition person be seriously ready to chill out! I always look forward to Mars retro because it is so much easier to do less!

Now that we are in November, not only are the Mars retro energies stronger (and strengthening more every day!) but we have a new personal planet retro story to add to the picture - Mercury retro (in Sagittarius).

Here are the important dates to note with this one:

November 8 we will begin the pre-shadow period for Mercury retro. That shadow period deepens every day from then until the official retro on November 25, the official retro lasts until December 14, and the post-shadow transit goes until January 3, 2025.

November is a time when plan that have been made are likely to be called into question and rescheduled or cancelled altogether. It is also a time when trying to plan too much for the future may not be easy and in general is not well-indicated. The whole of the retro flow from November 8 - January 3 is a fantastic time to return to courses or topics of study that you have started or been interested in starting, it is perfect for studying, and you may find that you are obsessed with learning or teaching. 

Leaving room for what I refer to as “last-minute magic” is a great idea and can be done by only scheduling what is necessary, making plans in pencil instead of in pen, leaving wiggle room to opt out if a magical opportunity presents itself.

Topics from the past are likely to come up, and if you need inspiration or help, people and ideas from the past could rush forward with support.

3. We are now moving out of the most intense months of the eclipse season (September and October) and although manifestations from the two eclipse cycles at play can still bring big news and events, things are calming down and the new normal from the changes that have occurred already will start to be implemented.

This eclipse season, we feature TWO eclipse cycles! We are in our second to last run of the Aries/Libra eclipse cycle, which started in 2023 and goes through the first half of 2025 AND we are starting a new eclipse polarity, Virgo/Pisces!

Here are the relevant dates for this cycle: 

September 17, Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse at 25° of Pisces and October 2, New Moon/Solar Eclipse at 10 ° of Libra.

4. The two main zodiac stars this month are Scorpio and Sagittarius!

Although this is usually a Scorpio-dominated month, the signs’ energy loses some thunder with the excessive amounts of Sagittarius rolling through multiple planetary transits. 

Scorpio energies will express through the Sun starting around October 23, and flow through around November 22. The urge to merge will be strong and the relationship evaluation these transits may bring us into deeper involvement with the people who make the cut. Scorpio time, is a watery, deeply emotional time, where deep dives into our own and others’ psychology and spirit can yield productive and enlightening results. All of this is within the deepening web of Mars retro shadow period and since Mars is a co-ruler of Scorpio, part of the Scorpio story will very much have a tilt to the past. A brilliant chance to heal anger and usher in forgiveness can enter now. You may have to do work to get the gold. Scorpio rules things underground (including precious metals and gems), so digging through the muck to find the sparkle is what is asked for now.

5. Sagittarius energies reign supreme this month! The transition from water to fire usually represents a coming out of the abyss of emotion with more lightness, freedom, and flow. The dates around this shift into Sagittarius will likely be a welcome relief from what could have been a very heavy stretch of many weeks from the heaviest parts of eclipse season, including the highly emotional Scorpio transits in October.

THE AMOUNT OF SAGITTARIUS ENERGIES THIS MONTH ACTS AS A TAKEOVER OF THE USUAL STRONG SCORPIO ENERGIES. The Scorpio energies will still be there but this unusual line-up will lengthen the Sagittarius season and make for a different type of November than we usually see.

The Sun doesn’t make its’ move from Scorpio into Sagittarius until around November 22 but Mercury will start moving into Sagittarius in very early November and the retrograde focuses on this sign, bringing extra attention. Venus will still be in Sagittarius through November 11.

Sagittarius is all about EXPANSION and ADVENTURE. Broadening of horizons is a key concept that will be calling out for attention. Luck, benevolence, and optimism are more key Sagittarius traits that will be noticeable this month.

Big-picture thinking will prevail during this time. Understanding the higher meaning or place where many individual points connect are opportunities of this time. Spiritual and philosophical pursuits will abound. Teaching and learning, other languages and cultures, immigration and long-distance travel, are all other Sagittarian ways that can express strongly at this time.

This energy is also super BUSY and can be very RESTLESS. The energy of Sagittarius moves in an upward spiral, getting its’ fingers into a lot of pudding pies aka. a diverse range of expression. It can also bring prolific communication or other types of expression!

The November Fire Party is further supported by the Mars move to fellow fire sign, Leo around November 5.

6. Venus starting its’ move through Capricorn November 12 can start to ground out the excessive fire energy and bring practical realism and grounded uses of the inspiration that comes now.

SWEET ~ Wonderful boosts are more likely on or around these days: 2, 2, 3, 4, 18, 19, 22, and 27.

SALTY ~ Drama or stress are more likely in the days around: 3, 3, 7, 9, 11, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 26, and 27.

Note, when a date is listed more than once for a sweet or salty, that is because there are MULTIPLE aspects that day!

November 1 ~ New Moon at 9° of Scorpio

Some great ways to use this brilliant New Moon are:

Set intentions for emotional transformation ~ Scorpio energy sets the tone for working with waters of deep emotion. New Moons help us usher in new experiences and plant seeds for future new growth. Combining these two potentials give much promise for emotional transformation.

Engage in deep introspection and shadow work ~ Pluto, ruler of Scorpio, rules the underworld, which energetically relates to the shadow parts of our being. Using the New Moon to set intentions for integration of dark and light is great use of the energetic potentials.

Focus on rebirth and empowerment ~ An inevitable result of deep seeking and going deep into the darkness of shadow opens up brilliant possibilities for rebirth and empowerment. Imagine yourself as the Phoenix rising from the ashes, burning bright with new levels for epic flight.

November 15 ~ Full Moon/Super Moon at 24° of Taurus

This is the third Super Moon in a row! Super Moons are when the Moon is closer to the Earth. The moon could look bigger in the sky and exert more effects on the waters in the world (including the ones in you!)

The extra power of this moon can also amplify the outcomes of conscious work with it and even without trying, can bring in profound notable outcomes.

This Super Moon in Earthy Taurus makes this time is immensely powerful for grounding in material manifestations.

Here are three specific ways to harness this moons’ power or ways you may see the potentials beautifully manifest:

Manifesting Abundance and Financial Stability ~ This time is fantastic for doing a financial consciousness check-in. November 30 - December 1 ~ New Moon at 9° of Sagittarius 

In the Eastern time zone and earlier, this will actually be a Black Moon, since it is the second New Moon in this calendar month of November!

(We will also have a Black Moon for the later time zones December 30-31, since for you all, that New Moon in Capricorn will be the second New Moon in December for you :) )  

The power of Black Moons are amplified for seed planting and new beginnings!

The New Moon in Sagittarius is perfect for new beginnings, fresh chapters, and planting seeds on the topics of education (teaching and learning), immigration, long-distance travel, spiritual goals, philosophical understandings, writing, publishing, international relations, and public speaking.

As you can see from my ‘salty’ aspect list, there is quite a bit of mischief AGAIN this month (just as there was last month! All month be on extra guard! Here are some of the challenging ones I am highlighting from my salty list.

A series of Inconjuncts…

On November 7, two on the 11th, 14, and 26, we have a series of in conjunct aspects.

These tend to bring general awkwardness and often the feeling of being lost or confused. T’s are not crossing and I’s are not being dotted. The feeling of incompletion tends to come up strongly. Communication can be annoying and connecting with others can feel like you are two ships crossing in the night without even realizing each others presence.

Three Pressure Point Squares (Two with Venus)…

There are 3 squares on November 9, 12, and 27. Pressure points bring stress during these times. The November 9 and 27 the aspects are with Venus and outer planets. The one on the 12 is with Mercury.

Lessons in money and finances, love and relationships, self-esteem and confidence are all up for breakthroughs in the days around the Venus aspects.

Opportunities with communication and self-expression are up in the days around the 12.

November 9 ~ Venus in Sagittarius Square Neptune in Pisces

This aspect can bring some confusion or disillusionment. Desire to expand could be blocked by emotions - your own or someone else’s. The experience of having someone spaying water on the fire of your hearts’ desire could occur.

November 12 ~ Mercury in Sagittarius Square Saturn in Pisces

More potentials of your excitement being hosed down with someones’ mood or strong opinions with this transit. A stern and judgmental force may blow your great mood.

November 27 ~ Venus in Capricorn Square Chiron in Aries

Harsh realities may surface now. Restrictions and limits may be forced into an otherwise very expansive series of star movements.

Three Oppositions Bring Overwhelm…

In the days around November 3, 16, and 18, the opposing clashes of polarities will come up in a big way. Feeling torn in two different directions, pressure from multiple directions, having your own things to tend to while other people and things in your life seem to call out for even more attention ~ these are the marks of oppositions.

November 4 ~ Sun in Scorpio Trine Saturn in Pisces

This great connection can bring focus and discipline with surprising softness and ease. Soul connections can rush in bringing wonderful feelings of being understood and giving a deep sense of connectedness.

November 18 ~ Sun in Scorpio Trine Neptune in Pisces

Intuition and creativity are notably boosted at this time. Spiritual and psychological healings at this time can be profound! It is a beautiful time for artistic inspiration.

November 19 ~ Mercury in Sagittarius Trine Chiron in Aries 

Bold and honest conversations can bring out hidden and healing truths. This is a time where fortune can favor the bold, as long as the intention is true healing and not ego.

October 12  and November 2 ~ Jupiter in Gemini Sextile Chiron in Aries

(While the exact connection was on October 12, it comes back into exact connection November 2, and besides these dates, the planets will be close together and the energies will be strong from the end of August 2024 through the middle of December 2024 and then will return in 2025).

Chiron is about healing and Jupiter is about expansion. When these come together in a favorable aspect, here are some possible potentials:
