September 2024 Astrology ~ NEW KARMIC CYCLE BRINGS FRESH STARTS (+ More…)

Here are some top points to know about the September 2024 Astrology. See my September 2024 Horoscope Videos/Podcasts  for more details and also in the date specific notes towards the end of this written report:

1. This is the second month in a row that has such a drastic imbalance of salty aspects compared to sweet! The speed bumps we will have to slow down for will be many this month but most of them have short influences. Distraction is easier than ever so staying attentive is extra challenging but staying present may be the one act that can most help to move through the obstacles brought by these smaller aspects and additionally through ECLIPSE SEASON, now that we have entered the most intense zone.

2. As of September 12 and through October 6, we are in the last period free from personal planet retrogrades for a long while! This open period goes until Mars retro shadow begins on October 7. Mars retro is a LONG transit, especially when you take the shadow periods into account (which we must!) and this transit runs right into Venus retro in 2025 making it until late Spring 2025 (Fall for you all down under) before we untangle from the personal planet retro web. I am sending this report out to you early so that you can use this window very wisely and efficiently since now you know that the energy for launches or trying to push things forward will be seriously diminished for an extended period of time after the first week of October.

Mars retro can also affect ambition. It may make you obsessed with something, to the exclusion of it, forgetting about and neglecting everything else, or could make even the most ambition person be seriously ready to chill out! I always look forward to Mars retro because it is so much easier to do less!

So from September 12 - October 6 make the most of this forward movement for your big plans, major decisions, future planning, and doing anything that you want to be in effect for a long time.

Something else important to know is that you won’t be the only one ready to rest and show up less, OTHERS who you may be trying to employ will also be feeling this! So if you need to hire others to get things done, take the timetable I shared into consideration.

I will give lots of things that Mars retro is great for in the October report but a few things to note are: vacations and staycations, therapy/inner work, leaving room in your schedule to follow any (healthy) obsessions that come up (as for many, they will! Or unhealthy ones may have to be re-directed into better routes for maximum happiness :) )

3. WE ARE in the MOST INTENSE HEAT of ECLIPSE SEASON in September and October with the energies having starting to flare strongly in August, and trailing into November before the calm returns.

This eclipse season, we feature TWO eclipse cycles! We are in our second to last run of the Aries/Libra eclipse cycle, which started in 2023 and goes through the first half of 2025 AND we are starting a new eclipse polarity, Virgo/Pisces!

Here are the relevant dates for this cycle: 

September 17, Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse at 25° of Pisces and October 2, New Moon/Solar Eclipse at 10 ° of Libra.

4. The two main zodiac stars this month are Virgo and Libra!

Virgo energies through the Sun (until September 23) and Mercury (from September 10-27) which bring organization, efficiency, attention to details, and perseverance to get mundane work done, pushing through tasks that may not be fun but are necessary. At Virgo time we have the opportunity to refresh our daily routine and find new joy in the usual. Mindfulness, just focusing on what we are doing at the time we are doing it, not only can bring a new level of peace, but also positively affects our immune system and brain function.

Libra energies put social interactions at the forefront, giving us opportunities to resolve relationship challenges, give and receive support, and relish in union. Topics such as diplomacy and tact may feature strongly in daily experiences as we have opportunities to see where we may benefit from shifting how we present information to others so that we are better heard and listening more deeply, so that we learn about new facets of those around us.

The Sun will be in Libra from around September 23 - October 22, Mercury will roll through Libra from September 27 - October 14, and Venus will be there from August 30 - September 24.

5. Mars will be in Cancer almost all month (it leaves Gemini September 6). This movement of Mars into Cancer is especially important to note because usually Mars moves through a sign in around 2 months but because of the impending retrograde, it will have a presence in or near Cancer for an extended period of time. The energetic potentials will shift some in the retrograde time, which we will talk about when that is happening but for now now that in this time of Mars being direct and going through Cancer will bring the ambition, motivation, and impetus of Mars to the arenas of home, housing, and family matters. Real estate topics will be likely to come up strongly.

MARS RETRO SHADOW PERIOD BEGINS OCTOBER 6 and this full retro transit will be influencing until MAY 2025!

Note, when a date is listed more than once for a sweet or salty, that is because there are MULTIPLE aspects that day!

SWEET ~ Wonderful boosts are more likely on or around these days: 2, 11, 14-15, 19, 22, 24, 26, and 29-30.

SALTY ~ Drama or stress are more likely in the days around: 2-3, 4, 6-7, 8, 8, 8-9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 20, 21, 22, and 25.

September 17 ~ Full Moon/Super Moon/Eclipse at 25° of Pisces!

Work on understanding someone else perspective that you have been in judgment of. Eclipses are times when we can powerfully clear karmic slates, and quickly! Often karma is created from a polarized view that may need to be balanced out. Any work put towards this deep spiritual practice can yield surprisingly productive, long-term results.

Go deep into spiritual practices. The unseen realm is where the focus is during Pisces events and this is a big one! The veils between dimensions could be thinner at this time. Synchronicities and breakthroughs are likely.

Connect with water. The flow of water can activate intuition and can unblock stuck channels. Using water to help let go of these blockages can be extra productive during this Full Super Moon Eclipse.

Tough Venus Aspects:

Tough Venus aspects can be far-reaching in our daily experience because Venus covers so many different areas of life. From relationship, to love and sustenance, to finances, and income, plus design/decorating projects, and self-esteem and confidence, any of these areas can get jostled during a challenged Venus aspect. 

September 11 ~ Venus in Libra Inconjunct Saturn in Pisces

This could manifest as the experience of restriction in money or love, a crunch time or too small a budget on a design project, or a critical comment by someone whose opinion matters to you or who audacity makes you mad.

September 16 ~ Venus in Libra Opposing Chiron in Aries 

The topic of self-worth may come up as someone reflects your inner world to you clearly. Are you being treated in a way that you would hope someone that you love was being treated? 

September 22 ~ Venus in Libra Square Pluto in Capricorn

Deep emotional bonds may get tested now. Financial partners could reveal their true colors. Transformation could result from conflict.

Tough Mercury Aspects:

September 6-7 ~ Mercury in Leo Square Uranus in Taurus

Jostling news could come in during the days around this transit. Surprises that are unsettling or a shocking conversation could be disruptive at this time.

September 18 ~ Mercury in Virgo Opposing Saturn in Pisces

Mundane obligations may feel like they are interfering with your intuitive flow right now. The necessity of dealing with ‘reality’ could seriously impede inspiration.

September 21 ~ Mercury in Virgo Square Jupiter in Gemini

Over-optimism, over-promising, over-doing all are more likely now. You may feel really ready to give your all right now and as long as it is for a short-term commitment or a project with flexibility in how you show up, it could be really productive. The nature of this transit could put rose-colored glasses on, causing you to miss important red flags or over-estimate your capability or duration of interest. This is also coupled with impending Mars retro, which could make you lose ambition, making anything you intend to do now less interesting or less possible sometime soon.

September 25 ~ Mercury in Virgo Opposing Neptune in Pisces

Confusion and deception often come with this aspect. What someone is saying and what you are feeling from what they are saying may not match up. Go with your gut. 

I am reposting this from last month since this mega transit is STILL in effect! All of August and September, exact in days around August 19 ~ 

It is between Jupiter in Gemini and Saturn in Pisces, a rough square.

This aspect can bring in the challenge of wanting to explore new ideas, places, etc. but a corresponding need for caution or extra care, or some kind of external block stopping what seems like the natural flow. This aspect has some of the energy of the Mars aspect with Saturn with the likeness of some natural flow being impeded in some way but this Jupiter aspect takes on a broader meaning and can be more all-encompassing.

Maybe you want to travel but you can’t get your passport in time, or you want to start a school program but can’t afford it or for some other reason it isn’t accessible, there could be social aspirations that are blocked by a gatekeeper that is demanding too much. These are just a few ways the energies can manifest.

Communication within yourself, out onto to the paper (like a writing project), or conversing with others, could be labored or fruitless. Delays and frustrations of various types can also manifest in any area of life.

Some positive potentials of this mega transit are:

Balanced growth (as opposed to unchecked and overwhelming growth), which can be better for the long term.

Disciplined learning (like a situation where you are at first excited about learning something, then you get to the part where it is hard and you want to give up but you have to summon the strength to forge ahead in the absence of passion).

Strategic communication (where you work out your emotions BEFORE you attempt to convey your concerns to others so that the conversation is about the topic, not the charge you have to it).

The extent of the manifestation is wide, like all of August AND September but may be most noticeable in the times closer to August 19.

September 22 ~ Sun in Virgo Trine Pluto in Capricorn

Disciplined meticulous efforts can yield profound transformation. I love this date for anything important since it is in the window that is free from the personal planet retros and shadow periods. We won’t have sweet aspects in open stars like this for a while so each one really counts!

Three Sweet Mercury Aspects:

Mercury aspects can bring great news, awesome conversations and other social bounty. They can also be great for important communication or headway on big communication-based projects. 

September 2 (also the New Moon in Virgo) ~ Mercury in Leo Trine Chiron in Aries

The Leo flavor brings SELF expression to the Mercurial manifestation. Trines with Chiron often represent a triumph over a past hurt, a coming back to life from a depressed state, or a new zest for healing and transcendence work.

September 24 ~ Mercury in Virgo Trine Uranus in Taurus

This time Uranus combines with Mercury in a positive way, increasing the odds of positive news or vibrant expression. Innovative ideas can pierce through the core of a problem. Something that was an issue for a long time can be suddenly resolved.

September 26 ~ Mercury in Virgo Trine Pluto in Capricorn

Careful observation could bring out previously hidden truths. Deep introspection and constructive analysis can support a beloved project. The stars are still great for doing important things and this is a perfect aspect to lock in some planetary sweetness for a long time to come.

September 14-15 ~ Venus in Libra Trine Jupiter in Gemini

It is not just because I am a Sagittarius ruled by Jupiter that I so love Jupiter trines! What is not to love about amplification of love, money, self-esteem and confidence? All of these and more are potential positive outcomes from this transit.

It is also a profoundly wonderful aspect to do something important during as the benevolence and luck and financial prosperity can get woven into whatever you do at this time.
