May 2024 Astrology ~ 2 SUPER LUCKY ASPECTS (and a TON MORE SWEETNESS!) + more…

Here are some top points to know about the May 2024 Astrology. See my May 2024 Horoscope Videos/Podcasts  for more details and also in the date specific notes towards the end of this written report:

1. This is a ROBUSTLY POSITIVE month from the perspective of the aspects! There are so many more sweet aspects compared to salty this month! We do have a bunch that could go either way but they are still dwarfed by the awesome flow. I will go into my top faves and top ones to look out for, plus all the dates later in this report.

2. As of May 3, the forward movement of all of the outer planets that we have enjoyed since the end of January has shifted. As of May 14, we are at least out of the web of Mercury retrograde and are in our second to last open period free from personal planet retrogrades of the year. This current open period free from personal planet retros last from May 14 - July 16. Make the most of it because we will also have a Mars retro period with a long shadow period that will dominate the last months of the year and cause many slow downs.

This open period favors big launches, major decisions, clarity for present and future planning, commitments, contracts, events, trips, and general ease and flow compared to the retro when scheduling can be a nightmare.

3. Transformation time! THE HEAT OF ECLIPSE SEASON is finally trailing off! Some news or manifestations can still be rolling in but in general, the new normal from whatever changes have come, starts to be instituted now. March and April had two more eclipses in the Aries/Libra eclipse cycle that begun in early 2023 (and runs through early 2025) we have a Lunar Eclipse at 5° of Libra on March 25 and a Solar Eclipse at 19° Aries on April 8. 

Eclipse “season” revs up around 4-6 (sometimes more!) weeks BEFORE the first eclipse in the series and extends to 4-6 weeks (sometimes more) AFTER the last one. This eclipse cycle is shuffling around energies in the “Me/We” sectors. Individual and relationship empowerment glow as the highest expression of the potentials. 

Dramatic beginnings, endings, and tests in these arenas are more likely at this time. Each sign also have houses, or fields of experience, affected. I will talk about these in the March and April 2024 reports on Youtube and my syndicated podcast, Astro Kisses with Annie Botticelli.

Eclipses are linked to the ecliptic, just as the North and South Node are. The Nodes of the Moon are connected to our karma (for better and worse) and our dharma (our highest expression in this lifetime). Eclipse time tends to bring opportunities to unlock fate and escalate notable occurrences that feel tied to destiny.

4. The three zodiac stars this month are Aries, Taurus, and Gemini!

Mars will flow through the whole sign of Aries in May and early June and this will continue the extra zest and motivation that have been present for several months.

Mars rules Aries and this energy can be prone to obsession. You may find that you have been off-the-charts productive in recent times on something that you are very interested in or motivated to push through. That energy will continue all this month! Mercury will also be in Aries until May 16, adding more fuel to the fire party.

Once we hit mid month, around May 14, we will also have the forward movement of the cloud of Mercury retro having past and things will take off surprisingly quickly (if they had cooled or got called into question with the retro).

Aries energy is trailblazing, pioneering, radical, and it can be like a powder keg (for better and worse). This is a very active, energetic time. Motivation and inspiration can bring amazing actions that can be life-changing. Add to these transits that in April we had an ARIES ECLIPSE and you can start to get the picture about what a time of massive change and NEW BIRTH this is!

Taurus energy is grounded and calm, it strategizes and has patience. These are all great counterbalance energies to the wild fire frenzy. Jupiter is flowing through its last moments of Taurus this month (then not to return to Taurus for another 11 years), plus Venus and the Sun in shorter transits will solidify important things this month. Topics like finance, money, self-sufficiency, material items, are all in the forefront at this time.

Gemini jumps into the picture this month IN A MAJOR WAY, not only when the Sun shifts there on May 21st, but also when Venus moves there May 24 AND May 26, JUPITER also gets into Gemini (for the first time in 12 years) and really brings Gemini themes, not only for the short term, but for the long term (until June 2025) . So in the third week of the month, a major RESTLESSNESS will start to take over.

Gemini themes that will present now are travel, communication (as writing or other sharing projects OR social interactions), mobility, and even possibly moving house. These stars open from personal planet retros can be fantastic for big moves and also big purchases and big sales. If you need a new vehicle or device, this time is full of great promise.

Sweet boosts are more likely on or around these days: 3, 6-7, 13, 18, 19, 22, 23 (three aspects this day!), 25, and 27.

Drama or stress are more likely in the days around: 1 and 17.

Aspects that can manifest either way dates: 6, 13, 18, 29, 30-31.

May 21 ~ Full Moon at 3° of Sagittarius ~

THESE ARE TWO OF THE LUCKIEST ASPECTS OF THE YEAR!

While technically since they are conjunctions, they could go either way (like by bringing a Jupiterian abundance of mischief) they tend to manifest very positively.

The Sun conjunct Jupiter in Taurus emphasizes expansion, optimism, and growth in one's core self and life path, highlighting a period where confidence and a sense of abundance can lead to significant personal development and material gains. This aspect fosters a generous spirit, encouraging individuals to embrace opportunities for prosperity, with a focus on self-improvement and realizing one's potential in tangible ways.

Venus conjunct Jupiter in Taurus, places strong emphasis on the expansion of love, relationships, and financial matters, bringing a sense of joy, abundance, and ease in these areas. This aspect promotes harmony and generosity in relationships, as well as luck in financial ventures, encouraging indulgence, luxury, and the appreciation of beauty and comfort.

While both aspects share a theme of growth and abundance influenced by Taurus's love for stability and the finer things in life, the Sun conjunct Jupiter focuses on personal growth and optimism, whereas Venus conjunct Jupiter centers on enhancing relationships, love, and financial prosperity.

April 20 ~

JUPITER in TAURUS CONJUNCT URANUS IN TAURUS

Strong manifestation potentials April 4 - May 8, aspect officially occurring in the days around April 20, 2024.

Jupiter and Uranus come together in a conjunction around every 14 years but Jupiter in Uranus conjunct in TAURUS hasn’t happened since May 1941 and prior to that May 14, 1855. The connections follow a Uranus cycle, which is around 84 years (sometimes a little shorter, sometimes a little longer).

This combination can bring extreme volatility! To the Earth’s crust, the weather, all technology and the systems that run it, and the financial markets (and really anything else, too).

When the planet of expansion and extremism combines with the planet of shocks and jolts, anything can happen, and quickly!

Taurus is an Earth sign, so any stable system can be prone to upsets during this cycle.

Unbelievable technological and scientific advances can occur. For example, the last time we had this aspect in May 1941, British engineer, Frank Whittle, patented the jet engine, which opened the way for air travel in ways few could have imagined at that time.

Innovative solutions in every arena, shifts in values that mold humanity’s next directions, and major financial opportunities can abound. At the same time, the new financial opportunities can be born out of the wreckage of the previously successful systems. It is a good time to have cash available to take advantage of unique chances to be on the cutting edge of our future biggest things.

May 13 ~ Sun and Uranus Conjunct in Taurus 

May 18 ~ Venus and Uranus Conjunct in Taurus 

May 29 ~ Mercury and Uranus Conjunct in Taurus 

These times can usher in lightning strike energy, so something that seems to zap out of the blue. Sudden upsets or stability being questioned is a common way they manifest. But the sudden energy could also bring something amazing, like amazing news, an inventive solution, or random surprise money.

Guard yourself more carefully at this time. It increases the odds of sudden jostling which presence and awareness could possibly protect you from.

Something that can support towards any upsets that come at this time is an affirmation I love from Florence Scovel Shinn, “When I am unmoved by appearances, appearances move.”

While this may not change certain truths, it can definitely protect in situations where something comes in that seems to be bad, but isn’t, and can help you hold your center while the relevant info is forthcoming.
