April 2024 Astrology ~ FIRST TIME EVER ~ ZERO POINT + April Eclipse and More

Here are some top points to know about the April 2024 Astrology. See my April 2024 Horoscope Videos/Podcasts  for more details and also in the date specific notes towards the end of this written report:

1. FIRST TIME EVER! I have been tracking sweet vs. salty aspect for many years. April 2024 is the first month ever that I have seen so few aspects that are clearly sweet or salty, only 4! But there are 7 more that could go either way! I am calling this ZERO POINT because the aspect that all of these aspects that could go either way make are 0 degrees, aka exact conjunctions, meaning they are at the same exact point in the sky. This aspect can be supremely annoying and challenged OR overwhelmingly awesome. Sometimes what makes the difference is out of our hands but sometimes intentional inner work, awareness, and a positive perspective can flip the switch. Being awareful and careful during the times of the aspects (especially the MAJOR one we have this month, I will talk more about this soon), will help to guide you through and to understand what is happening as the intensity rolls through.
 

2. We are officially OUT of the open period free from all direct stars. January 21- March 20, 2024 we had a beautiful open window for taking important life steps, making big decisions, launches, planning, strategizing, commitments, and general clarity. But now in April, we are back into Mercury retrograde time. Do note that all the OUTER planets are still going direct until May 2, 2024, but the tides have definitely shifted on many fronts and you will notice the difference. You may see many things still moving forward in big ways, and it is fine to let the natural rhythms play out. What will change as of March 20 and running through ALL of April, and lingering until May 14, is how to align what YOU do. Trying to make anything happen during this new retro window can create frustration and outcomes that are shorter-term or less grand than you may desire. This is a time to sit back in your web and let things come to you, rather than trying to build new webs all over the place. Leave room for “last-minute magic” (as I like to call it), by leaving yourself as unscheduled as possible, and you will have more space to say YES if an awesome invite comes in, or at bare minimum, you will save yourself from a ton of reschedule and calendar confusion. 

3. Transformation time! THE HEAT OF ECLIPSE SEASON CONTINUES! Continuing the Aries/Libra eclipse cycle that begun in early 2023 (and runs through early 2025) we have a Lunar Eclipse at 5° of Libra on March 25 and a Solar Eclipse at 19° Aries on April 8. 

Eclipse “season” revs up around 4-6 (sometimes more!) weeks BEFORE the first eclipse in the series and extends to 4-6 weeks (sometimes more) AFTER the last one. This eclipse cycle is shuffling around energies in the “Me/We” sectors. Individual and relationship empowerment glow as the highest expression of the potentials. 

Dramatic beginnings, endings, and tests in these arenas are more likely at this time. Each sign also have houses, or fields of experience, affected. I will talk about these in the March and April 2024 reports on Youtube and my syndicated podcast, Astro Kisses with Annie Botticelli.

Eclipses are linked to the ecliptic, just as the North and South Node are. The Nodes of the Moon are connected to our karma (for better and worse) and our dharma (our highest expression in this lifetime). Eclipse time tends to bring opportunities to unlock fate and escalate notable occurrences that feel tied to destiny.

4. WE STILL HAVE VERY STRONG PISCES ENERGIES. It is unusual for such a long showing of multiple personal planets (PLUS NEPTUNE AND SATURN) in Pisces. While the strong Aries placements (which I will discuss next) are bringing strong determination and drive, the Pisces placements, coupled with the Mercury retro, are calling out even more loudly to CHILL. Indecision and confusion, doubt and instability, can definitely be products of the strong Pisces transits but just as strongly manifesting are the desire to connect with spirit or emotionally with people, animals, or nature, the draw to create something beautiful, or focus intently on healing a psychological wound. 

Some other common ways Pisces energies can manifest are deep healing and emotional release, profound mystical experiences, dreamy romantic encounters, and synchronicities and serendipitous events. Some lesser talked about ways I have seen Pisces energies present is through lucid dreaming and astral projection experiences and unconventional healing modalities. Animal messaging may be strong at this time, particularly coastal or aquatic creatures.

5. It is ARIES time in the solar revolution. The solar new year began in the days around March 21st and early in April, Venus joins the Aries party. Mars will get there, too, in early May and you will start to feel that robust entrance in the last week of April. Aries is an assertive, active, dynamic, FIRE sign, and you will feel all of this crackling in the air! Balancing impulsiveness and spontaneity, independence and self-reliance, and using the massive drive that comes from this power placement in ways that match the Mercury retro will be a major focus. You will WANT to take action but not all actions are best aligned with the retro. A good way to tell if you are on track with your action path this month is the level of resistance occurring to what you are trying to do. Is it smooth sailing, with effortless manifesting? If so, great! Go with it! If you are hitting obstacles at every turn, you may be off track. Follow the excess of Piscean spiritual signs (and you can ask for these, too!) to help you determine if you need to stop pushing. This isn’t a time to try to drive against the traffic or paddle against the tide.

Some deeper ways to use this Aries cycle are: self-discovery through physical challenges, exploration of identity, breaking through psychological limitations, and harnessing anger and frustration productively and safely.

Sweet boosts are more likely on or around these days: 6, and two aspects on the 19th.

Drama or stress are more likely in the days around: the 21st.

Aspects that can manifest either way dates: 3, 10, 11, 20, 21, 28-29, 30-1.

Squares always hold the potential for breakthrough through conflict. An argument or difficulty could break you loose of something that has been an impediment for a while.

HEIGHTENED SENSITIVITY ~

These can be amazing for personal and spiritual connections. The threads that connect us all can be felt easier at this time and unity consciousness can bring profound experiences and perspective shifts.

This same wonderful sensitivity can make you more susceptible to illness, or deception, or anything else. If your gut is telling you to wait to respond, this would be a time to listen! Also, substances can be felt more deeply, so allergies or toxins can go deeper into pathology. It is not a time to be experimental with something that could be dangerous.

April 10 ~ Mars in Pisces Conjunct Saturn in Pisces 

Frustration, limitation, anger, resentment, self-doubt, insecurity, inability to get ideas to gel into material form, are all challenged ways this aspect can hit.

BUT, on the plus side, the energies can unite to form disciplined action, INSPIRED action, practical idealism, steady progress, and productivity accomplished with a high emotional IQ (so taking the feeling of others into the equation).

NOW FOR THE BIGGEST ASPECT THIS MONTH!

April 20 ~

JUPITER in TAURUS CONJUNCT URANUS IN TAURUS

Strong manifestation potentials April 4 - May 8, aspect officially occurring in the days around April 20, 2024.

Jupiter and Uranus come together in a conjunction around every 14 years but Jupiter in Uranus conjunct in TAURUS hasn’t happened since May 1941 and prior to that May 14, 1855. The connections follow a Uranus cycle, which is around 84 years (sometimes a little shorter, sometimes a little longer).

This combination can bring extreme volatility! To the Earth’s crust, the weather, all technology and the systems that run it, and the financial markets (and really anything else, too).

When the planet of expansion and extremism combines with the planet of shocks and jolts, anything can happen, and quickly!

Taurus is an Earth sign, so any stable system can be prone to upsets during this cycle.

Unbelievable technological and scientific advances can occur. For example, the last time we had this aspect in May 1941, British engineer, Frank Whittle, patented the jet engine, which opened the way for air travel in ways few could have imagined at that time.

Innovative solutions in every arena, shifts in values that mold humanity’s next directions, and major financial opportunities can abound. 

At the same time, the new financial opportunities can be born out of the wreckage of the previously successful systems. It is a good time to have cash available to take advantage of unique chances to be on the cutting edge of our future biggest things.

April 30 - May 1 ~ Venus in Taurus Square Pluto in Aquarius

Power struggles, control issues, fear of loss, shocking discoveries of things that had been hidden, pathological behavior, and intense emotional reactions (that can turn physical) are all challenged potentials of this aspect.

BUT, on the plus side, brilliant empowerment through self-discovery or relationship or financial breakthrough, creative rebirth of self, relationship or finances, or conflict that clears tension and opens up for accord, are all great possibilities.
