February 2024 Astrology ~ A MOST UNUSUAL MONTH!

Here are some top points to know about the February 2024 Astrology. See my February 2024 Horoscope Videos/Podcasts  for more details and also in the date specific notes towards the end of this written report:

1. We have DOUBLE the sweet aspects compared to salty this month. I will go into some of my faves below and a few to watch out for. (These are at the end of the report). What is unusual about this month from the aspect perspective is that there are more aspects that could really go either way than there are clearly sweet or salty! 

2. We have the first period OPEN and FREE from personal planet retrogrades. January 21- March 20, 2024 we have a beautiful open window for taking important life steps, making big decisions, launches, planning, strategizing, commitments, and general clarity. Use it well as the latter part of 2024 will have Mars retro blocking out movement so these open windows before then carry more weight.

3. Transformation time! Eclipse season begins NOW! Continuing the Aries/Libra eclipse cycle that begun in early 2023 (and runs through early 2025) we have a Lunar Eclipse at 5° of Libra on March 25 and a Solar Eclipse at 19° Aries on April 8. 

Eclipse “season” revs up around 4-6 (sometimes more!) weeks BEFORE the first eclipse in the series and extends to 4-6 weeks (sometimes more) AFTER the last one. This eclipse cycle is shuffling around energies in the “Me/We” sectors. Individual and relationship empowerment glow as the highest expression of the potentials. 

Dramatic beginnings, endings, and tests in these arenas are more likely at this time. Each sign also have houses, or fields of experience, affected. I will talk about these in the March and April 2024 reports on Youtube and my syndicated podcast, Astro Kisses with Annie Botticelli.

4. VERY STRONG AQUARIUS ENERGIES will also make it a very strange month. The fact that most of the aspects this month are ones that are mysterious and can either be positive, challenging or both makes this an unusual month but now add to that the Sun, Mercury, Venus, AND Mars will all also transit through Aquarius this month! It is very unusual for this much personal planet energy in one place in the zodiac. Now add to that, PLUTO is BACK in Aquarius and we really have an uncommon line-up, indeed!

5. Capricorn energies are still very strongly present at this time, especially earlier in the month. Mercury, Venus, AND Mars will still have some time in Capricorn before the Aquarius party really starts kicking up. Definitely plan the projects that need more concentration and discipline earlier in the month because the Cap energies can be AMAZING for those and once the Earth energy shifts to Air, distraction will reign supreme.

Taxes and other money topics, budgeting, writing or any other project that requires daily discipline, tedious tasks, can all be worked through more meticulously. As the month progresses, this energy will wear off, being completely gone by February 16 and waning every day after February 6.

6. Another point about this month that is most unusual (and very exciting!) is that ALL of the personal planets AND outer planets are moving direct! This started at the very end of January and continues until March. That means all energies are GO for forward movement in major ways! February is the only full month that doesn't have a personal planet retro or shadow period while ALSO having the power of forward movement from the outer planets being in their full direct glory!

Sweet boosts are more likely on or around these days: 2, 5, 7, 13, and 15.

Drama or stress are more likely in the days around: 5, 8, and 16.

Unusual aspects that can manifest either way dates: 5, 10, 13-14, 17, 22, and 24.

ASPECTS TO BE EXTRA CAREFUL & AWAREFUL:

There are just a few clearly nuisance  aspects this month and they are all squares. A square brings pressure, antagonism, and resistance. Sometimes the energy feels like it is all for nothing, and just something to get through, sometimes it will spark challenges that become the catalysts for desired and/or necessary change.

February 5 ~ Venus in Capricorn Square Chiron in Aries ~

Success may come at the cost of your freedom at this time or the pressures of your material experience may weigh heavily on your physical body. Money and love can get thrown into the mix. At worst, this can be seriously stressful, at best, profound healing can be instigated.

February 8 ~ Sun in Aquarius Square Uranus in Taurus ~

This transit is very ELECTRIC. Take special care around electric sources (don’t clean your toaster oven if it is plugged in!) On an energetic level, this can be jostling and bring anxiety and erratic behavior from yourself or others. The transit passes quickly but in the few days of its effects, be ready to breathe through random and sudden upsets. 

February 16 ~ Mercury in Aquarius Square Uranus ~

More zapping and jolting from a Uranus square in the days around this transit! This one is more likely to bring in surprise news, information, or discoveries that upset stability or balance. In the end, whatever happens can turn out to be a good thing but the suddenness of it could feel like you were struck with a lightning bolt.

Both the transit today and the similar one in the days around the 6th with the Sun, can help to shock you out of a pattern that might need changing.

MY TOP FAVE ASPECTS OF FEBRUARY 2024:

We have more sweet aspects than salty this month and some of them shine as my favorites of the bunch. Remember that you can experience the good vibes BEFORE and AFTER the dates listed as the web of influence extends beyond the day of exact connection.

Five of the aspects I am looking at for this month (February 2, 5, 7, 13, and 15) involve an angle called a sextile. I like to call this the ‘angle of opportunity’. Goodies could come in from the aspects themselves but often I have seen with this angle, a possibility is brought up but action has to be taken to make the possibility gel into reality.

Here are my top 3 faves of the bunch of sweet aspects this month:

February 5 ~ Sun in Chiron Sextile Chiron in Aries ~

In Greek mythology Chiron was a gentle Centaur with many accomplishments, including training Hercules (who also accomplished many great things, most notably of which the completion of 12 labors which helped save humanity a great deal by slaying bulletproof monsters!). When Chiron is involved, the energy of strength, healing, and protection come up strongly and in a nice angle like this, offers a burst of energy to cross the finish line with something that is your version of a Herculean task.

February 7 ~ Venus in Capricorn Trine Uranus in Taurus ~

What’s not to love about sudden sweet surprises entering the arenas of love, money and self-esteem? This could manifest as a gift or purchase of a long-awaited material item (or the paying off of some major debt). 

You could be overtaken with a sudden insight about your financial situation or love relationship that brings you great joy.

Ideas for advancement could zap in now. Write them down! The energy of Uranus is fleeting. This is the type of aspect that could spark an idea that makes money and helps many people at the same time. 

You may suddenly decide to start a new business venture or have a sudden work opportunity. The stars are great for both of these endeavors!

February 13 ~ Venus in Capricorn Sextile Neptune in Pisces ~

Neptune rules the lesser-seen realms, dreamy, intuitive, and artistic pursuits.

Venus rules money and Capricorn rules material manifestation. Combined, these forces can evoke from the ethers creative magic that results in something tangible. Even if the energetic of money is not in the equation, the production of something that has VALUE is enhanced. Aesthetic value, spiritual value, emotional value, any of these outcomes are increase in likelihood. 

It is a great time for what I like to call, ‘private personal pursuits’. 

It is also a time when making a choice from the perspective of a high emotional IQ (that is, an intuneness with the emotions of those around you), can work out for you, big time.

Big rewards can come from being nice!

THE UNUSUAL ~ We have at least 6 aspects this month that are not clearly positive or challenged! (See the dates above)

In these situations, your attitude, perspective, what you DO with the potentials, can spin their outcomes more to your favor.

Also on the unusual topic, notice all of these aspects (and so many others this month!) involve Aquarius, which rules the new, the weird, and the wonderful. Eclectic, eccentric, odd - this is a month where they all shine brightly!

Here are a few of most note:

February 10 ~ Mercury in Aquarius Square Jupiter in Taurus ~

As a person ruled by Jupiter (because of my many Sagittarius placements), I get a joy out of seeing how my friend (Jupiter) can be positive even when he is in what would be considered a stressed angle. But I will give you all sides of the potential manifestations.

This aspect lends itself not only to dreaming big, but communicating those big dreams. Sharing excitedly (maybe too excitedly!) about these ideas could overwhelm or trigger others. Sometimes people are threatened by others big dreams if they don’t feel satisfied with what they are accomplishing in their lives and they may consciously or unconsciously, shoot the big ideas down.

There could be a conflict here with the big dreams and the DETAILS needed to bring the dream to fruition. Discouragement about the details or some outer resistance to the big idea could manifest bringing frustration.

After initial conflict or disappointment, new hope bubbles could surface.

Big caution with any Jupiter square is to avoid excess - oversharing, overcommitting, or other overzealous activities.

There is also a square with Venus and Jupiter on February 24. Same rules apply and add in the energy of love, beauty, self-esteem, and finances.

February 13-14 ~ Mars in Aquarius Conjunct Pluto in Aquarius ~

Let’s get the ‘ugly’ out of the way first. This is one of the worst planetary combination potentials. Mars, ruler of war and aggression, and Pluto, ruler of atomic energy and the Underworld, coming together. Yikes! 

Good news here is that they are not in a clearly bad angle, it is a conjunction, which could go either way. 

In its very bad manifestation, you name it - reckless and dangerous anger, destruction and mayhem, imagine the Vikings pulling down the bridge in London. TERRIBLE for Britain but GREAT for the Vikings.

So if you use this energy to accomplish something great, YES! You have gotten the best end of it. If that great thing creates mayhem or terrible things for others, BOO! Watch out for the proper use of power as it will be a huge theme with this.

If you think about the truth that the problems in the world come from people not being accountable with their power, make the decision if you want to be part of the problem or part of the solution. Either way, the karmic wheel turns.

In the US, this is Valentine’s day. You will see blow ups and break ups abound from this transit. But you will also see powerful unions forged with synergistic outcomes. This is a fantastic time to unite with someone else.

February 17 ~ Venus in Aquarius Conjunct Pluto in Aquarius ~

Much of the info I shared in the Mars/Pluto conjunction just before this listing apply to this transit, too, except subtract the Mars element. So that is helpful! Less aggression and war-like behavior is a good thing! Venusian energy is much softer and can coax the better outcome out of Pluto BUT still beware and know that this IS a volatile transit.

If you feel unsafe in your love relationship, this could be a powder keg time so you may want to get a strategy ahead of time to make a safe exit.

Don’t let anyone convince you that you deserve abuse of any kind. 

Take the offering of empowerment by this transit to remember that your body houses Divine energy and your soul pure ethereal magic. Any steps you can take to honor your sacred body temple and the Divine goodness it houses is amazing use of this transit.

Major money and love events could happen now. You could also triumph over an addiction or win an inner war, helping your self-esteem to soar.

If the opposite happens, know that the trigger could be a catalyst for your future success.
