December 2022 ~ BE THE SPIDER ~ HERE’S WHAT COULD SHOW UP IN YOUR WEB …
Here are some top points to know about the December 2022 Astrology. See

1. There are a few more salty compared to sweet aspects this month. The speed bumps will be many but most of the conflictive energies are ones that will pass quickly and there are a ton of nice aspects to balance out the nuisance ones. Some
really great aspects are occurring this month.
2. The heat of eclipse season has finally decreased. While some news or manifestations could still come
in, the new normal from whatever changes came is likely to be settling in.
3. The worst of the boom of the last Saturn Square Uranus is behind us. In
2021, we had three passes of this aspect that covered and set the themes for the whole of 2021. These energies connected again in early 2022 and now make their final pass October 1-12, 2022 We felt this most strongly in October but the energies definitely lingered into November. Now in December, we are still integrating this powerful transit but not in the most heat of it any longer.
4. We can get a little reprieve from some of the retrograde energies this month through December 13th when the pre-mercury retrograde begins. The tides are still flowing inward and backward for an extended period of time (until March 2023) from Mars
retro but at least now Jupiter is back online (as of late November)!
Jupiter Direct can bring acceleration back to projects that had suddenly stalled
out around July when it went retrograde. Optimism, forward movement, expansion, solutions, luck, all have an increased chance of rolling in as Jupiter gains strength.
Mars retrograde will still be strongly influencing but for December, Jupiter’s speeding forward will bring noticeable shifts.
5. Mars pre transit shadow period began September 4, the actual retrograde began October 30 and goes through January 18, 2023 with the post retrograde shadow period stretching until March 15, 2023. The transit will move from 25° back to 8° of Gemini.
From September until March of 2023, the inward and backward energies of Mars retrograde (and one more Mercury retro during that time) are supported by us being the spider ~ sitting back working quietly in the back drop while we see what food comes to us.
Mercury goes retrograde officially December 28 - January 19, 2023. The post-transit shadow period goes through early February and THEN, the major open window for dramatic and far-reaching launches begins!
The time until then is great for experimenting, beta tests, editing, minor improvements to work already done, actions where the risk is low but the gains could be high, clearing up unfinished business, working in the backdrop to polish up your projects to present in the brilliant open window that is coming soon.
Imagine when a retrograde is influencing, that you are on a beach with the tide coming in. The tide is bringing in great things, like shells, and not great things, like garbage. Similarly, the retrogrades will roll you in things from the past, difficult things like unresolved karmic patterns, challenges, and unfinished projects; and wonderful things, like friends, family, ways
you used to have fun, or locations that feel like home or are otherwise nostalgic. If you try to put something out while the tides are coming in, their journey will be shorter than expected and will bob right back to you. This quick return, like playing fetch with a dog in the water, can be perfect for certain things, like projects intended to be short-term, creativity for the sake of it (without an intended outcome), or a low stakes marketing experiment where very little is invested but returns
could be high with very little risk.
My favorite aspect of the retrograde time is the increased chance for last-minute magic! The way you can most receive these gifts from the Universe is to try to
leave yourself as unscheduled as possible so that you can say YES to sudden opportunities to do awesome things.
Despite some more time in the first couple of weeks of December that are free from
Mercury retro, this month still has many aspects intact of the energy of “being the spider” and waiting to see what shows up in your web to deal with instead of pushing too far out of your web to find food or to build major new webs. There is a distinct difference at this time of saying yes to something that falls in your lap (aka, comes into your web) and conjuring, forcing, trying to create something or “make it happen”. The former is well-supported, the latter is not.
Retrogrades are great for re-doing, revising, working in the backdrop, dealing with what comes up, taking care of persistent patterns, studying/learning/researching, going back to things you loved doing or were interested
in doing in the past, writing, and re-connecting with friends, family, and acquaintances.

Unresolved or seemingly random anger, aggression, arguments, gallbladder/liver issues, surgeries, issues with machinery.
6. Strong Sagittarius energies continue this month. Long-distance travel, international associations, languages and cultures, writing, speaking, publishing,
teaching and learning, are all brought into this time in more notable ways. Prolific expression from the Sagittarius placements (and Mars in Gemini) may bring exhaustion and overstimulation. A frenzy of creation and activity is likely to burst forward out of the emotional waters of the earlier part of the month. Jupiter being recently direct also intensifies the Sagittarius energies since Jupiter is its ruler.
7. Strong Capricorn energies help to balance the Sagittarius frenzy with more clear and focused action. The combination of these two signs give the capacity for BIG vision with the corresponding
discipline to move towards their actualization. Even though taxes and other not as fun things are not generally on the minds of many during holiday time, you may find that you have the will to make some headway in taking care of some tedious tasks like this in between the Sagittarius fun and frolic of the season.
8. Mars in Gemini for a very extended period of time continue to bring restlessness and a focus on communication (including great energy for writing). Travel plans may stall out or in some way be restricted. It is a great time for stay-cations or trips that are more local. Travel
is more likely to bring you back to places you have been before.
The Gemini energies can also bring vacillation or
uncertainty, a prolonged feeling of having to decide between options or waiting for some news whose outcomes could set you on two completely different trajectories. Distraction may also abound. Doing short spurts of action steps may carry you further than trying to sit in one place for too long without a break.
9. We have 3 Jupiter squares this month. The tendency to over-do will be strong! Much fun and even productivity can occur from this string of aspects but too much over-doing, over-committing, etc. could lock you in to unintended outcomes for much longer than the few days each of the aspects strongest influence time. I will give more info
about these aspects, including dates, a section to follow.
Sweet boosts are more likely on or around these days: 1, 3-4, 12, 17, 19, 22, 24, 28, 29, and 31.
Drama or stress are more likely in the days around: 1, 3-4,
5-6, 7-8, 9, 14, 15, 19, 21, 29, 30, and 31.

December 1 — Venus in Sagittarius Sextile Saturn in Aquarius

Opportunities in love and/or money will be more likely now. This also could be a great time to do something important. Mercury and Jupiter are strong, despite the continuing Mars retro. Impetus to take actions could have great results. If it is something of a larger and more consequential scale, the
next most open time for launches will start in February 2023.
December 3-4 — Sun in Sagittarius Trine Chiron in Aries — This beautiful connection can heal a health issue or go deeper to make headway on a long-standing wound. Our “Chironic wound” is our Achilles heel, or the place we are most vulnerable from an experience from the past. This aspect can bring positive shifts and make you feel light as a feather from shedding a burden you have been carrying for a long time. Special luck or other blessings could come to any other issue you have been working
with in the shorter-term, too. Note that because of a concurrent more challenging aspect, a challenge could come up first and this nice aspect could be what smoothes it over or brings a great outcome after the ruckus.
December 17 — Mercury in Capricorn Trine Uranus in Taurus —
Good news, amazing ideas, sudden awareness, can come out-of-the-blue now. Material gains can be made with a quickness as the trine is in earth signs.
Even though we are in the early part of the Mercury retrograde pre-transit shadow zone, this still could be a great time for taking important actions based on sudden awesome ideas or responding to opportunities that fall in your lap.
December 19 — Jupiter goes back into Aries — Any areas of life that Jupiter was expanding earlier in the year that may have started to rev back up again in November when Jupiter went direct could really start gaining steam now.
December 19 — Mars in Gemini Sextile Chiron in Aries — Your certainty in yourself and your abilities can have a real boost now. Confidence builds and you can become magnetized to awesome options.
December 22 — Venus in Capricorn Trine Uranus in Taurus — Another wonderful earth trine today! Money, self-confidence, love, beauty, all have a chance to gel into a very tangible outcome. Blessings can come in naturally or you can align actions with this time to harness the energy.
December 24 — Mercury in Capricorn Sextile Neptune in Pisces — A kiss of inspiration that brightens your material world or a divine resolution to a tangible issue can breeze in
now. I love this energy for holiday celebrations.
December 28 — Venus in Capricorn Sextile Neptune in Pisces — A great time for romance or quiet personal pursuits. Relaxing by water can be especially beneficial. If you have a financial conundrum to solve right now, you are more likely to find a solution during play than you are during work.
Top Aspects to Be Extra Careful & Awareful:
December 3-4 — Venus in Sagittarius Square Neptune in Pisces —
This aspect can bring some uncertainty or disillusionment. A trip or other Sagittarius-related pursuit could get called into question, or romance or money could
be getting you down. Either way, it will pass quickly. You may do better to hold off on making decisions until the energy clears because the odds are there is more info to come that would change how you handle whatever comes up.
December 5-6 — Mercury in Sagittarius Square Jupiter in Pisces
December 9 — Venus in Sagittarius Square Jupiter in Pisces
December 21 — Sun in Sagittarius Square Jupiter in Pisces
Throughout the month we will have three personal planets each make a square with Jupiter. Fortunately, even squares of Jupiter can
be positive but they are noteworthy to point out because of the tendency with Jupiter squares to OVER-DO! Whether it is work, play, making commitments, taking things on, you are in YES mode, which can feel good at the moment, but hang over you with burden for a while to come if you can’t get out of what you commit to.
December 12 — Mercury retrograde pre-shadow period starts — Look for schedule shifts and other things to be cast into uncertainty. Leaving yourself as unscheduled as possible can open room for “last-minute magic”, (as I like to call it :) )
December 15 — Mercury in Capricorn Square Chiron in Aries
December 19 — Venus in Capricorn Square Chiron in Aries
During these squares to Chiron, a stern critical voice, either inside of you or from outside, could make you question yourself or what you are working on. You may get
mad about something that someone says or something that happens but you can use this emotion to clear up an inner pattern that has been limiting you for a long time. An insecurity or weakness in your life could flare but your attention on the matter could give it the fuel it needs to heal.
December 29 — Mercury goes retrograde at 24° of Capricorn — Things tend to get especially chaotic in the few days before and after the day Mercury goes retrograde or direct. Be extra careful to prevent accidents, miscommunications, and confusion in these days and through the whole cycle. Electronics and other machines may get fussy or stop working completely. Mercury
retro is a great time to clear up unfinished business and to go back to things from the past. Be the earthworm and work over old ground to make it rich and fertile for future growth.

December 7 — Full Moon in Gemini — Fullness, completion, fruition, drama, and manifestation come to all Gemini topics, such as - gathering and disseminating information, writing, speaking, mobility, transport, social connections, neighborhood news, and relatives. December 21 — Winter Solstice — From the darkest time, the light starts to return. Go deep within and find the magic.
December 23 — New Moon at 1° of Capricorn — Time to plant seeds or notice new beginnings in any area of life, especially those ruled by Capricorn, such as: work, employment, business, father/father figures, authority figures, your place out in

December 31 — Venus and Pluto in Capricorn Conjunct — Pluto brings its BOOM to love and/or money! This can be awesome, like a major meeting, re-meeting, breakthrough, burst of money, or challenging, like a conflict or worse. Transformation is afoot but it is also important to take care and stay safe. This aspect can make tempers flare. If you are getting that intuition to stay home New Years night, or any other “gut feeling” that you have is extra
important to honor right now.
Extra Mars/Mars Retro info to review monthly through February 2023:
Mars rules ambition, impetus, energy levels, initiation, aggression, and metal. When Mars is offline for the extended period of time of its full retrograde cycle, the general recommendations are to avoid instigating in any topic of rulership. So Mars retro is not the best time to launch a new project (although it is fine for
experimentation without attachment), initiating new things (unless they come to you and you are unattached to the outcome or it is intended to be a casual or short-term project), hope to have ambition or impetus (often we get lazy at this time so waiting for this time to get things done might not give you the drive you were hoping for), moving forward on projects that involve other peoples participation (they are less likely to show up and may be less productive than you hope), initiating an act
of aggression, like a lawsuit (fights instigated under the Mars retro transit tend to not favor the one initiating the suit or fight), new things involving metal - so ALL things made of metal are better to not be messed with and only deal with issues as they come but not the best time to purchase new machinery, devices, etc. - this also includes scissors and needles so new barber/hairdresser, or new hairstyles or body art - are all best to stick with the previous version or practitioners.
Voluntary or cosmetic surgeries may also be better as far away from the personal planet retrogrades as possible. Please note that any surgeries that are medically necessary or advised as timely by your doctor to not wait on in order to prevent or stop an issue that was starting to progress should be proceeded with according to your intuition, research, medical guidance regardless of the astrological transits.
