January 2023 ~ THE BIG BURST OPEN!

There are quite a few more sweet aspects compared to salty ones this month. Harmonious bursts are present all throughout the month and there are many extra sweet connections (many of which I will go into later this in this report).
2. We are out of eclipse season! Change can always come on the topics heated up between last September and December but January and February are rest and integration points between the last set of eclipses and the ones that come next).
3. The New Year feels truly NEW! It starts slowly but by the end of the month the baggage of 2022 shifts into bright new possibilities and the end of January cracks the matrix of the many months of retrograde focus and ushers in the brilliant OPEN period free from personal planet retrogrades. The time for
BIG launches and MAJOR decisions is very close to reaching optimum. Mercury AND Mars go direct this month opening up a rare time of all of the planets that we commonly follow to all be MOVING FORWARD!
4. Capricorn energies dominate this month, especially the earlier part. The focus and discipline you need to wrap up the tendrils of 2022 are present and strong. Use them quickly and wisely as the energies shift as the month moves on. Taxes and other bookkeeping, home or office projects, cleaning up from the Sagittarius frenzy of excess, getting back into your positive diet, lifestyle, and other habits, are all
wonderfully supported. Work and money efforts as well as taking care of mundane practical things are well-supported at this time. The more clear you make your inner and outer space at this time, the higher you can fly with your robust efforts in the upcoming time. Many aspects throughout the month in the sign of Capricorn light up your material realms, helping you ask and answer questions about your deepest practical needs and wants.
5. Strong Aquarius energies build throughout the month. Social connections and finding your happy place within communities or groups both light up beautifully at this time. Networking can be
especially key to your success and joy right now and opportunities will abound. You and your expression could go far and wide now with the help of technology and internet-based efforts. Working out social anxieties can help you to say YES to glorious possibilities of connecting with others in ways that make you feel like you are part of something bigger.
8. Mars in Gemini for a very extended period of time continue to bring restlessness and a focus on
communication (including great energy for writing).
The Gemini energies
can also bring vacillation or uncertainty, a prolonged feeling of having to decide between options or waiting for some news whose outcomes could set you on two completely different trajectories. Distraction may also abound. Doing short spurts of action steps may carry you further than trying to sit in one place for too long without a break. This energy won’t shift into Cancer until the end of March but at least since Mars is now direct, you may have more clarity about how to direct your
energies. You may find that if you can’t choose between two options, that doing both may be your best answer.
Sweet boosts are more likely on or around these days: 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 18, 22, 24, 29, 30.
Drama or stress are more likely in the days around: 1, 2, 6, 11, 14, 16-17, 18, 20, 22, 27.

January 1-2 and 13— Mercury then the Sun in Capricorn Sextile Neptune in Pisces —
Practical needs are given a great creative or intuitive boost now. If you have an issue that needs to be resolved, sleeping on it, or meditating about it, could yield answers.
January 4 and 24 — Venus then the Sun in Aquarius Sextile Aries in Jupiter — Jupiter brings kisses of expansion and luck to love, money, and self-esteem. Art projects, passion projects, social connections, and so much more, get major blessings from these connections. Advancements in any and all areas of life may occur suddenly.
January 5 and 8 + 29 — Sun then Mercury in Capricorn (twice!) Trine Uranus in Taurus — What are your material needs and desires that have not been yet met? Asking this question now may help you direct the energetic potentials of these great
aspects. The Universe may also proactively answer your prayers on these topics and give you what you need or want or bless you with insights or other tools that will help you reach your material goals. Because Mercury is retro then direct this month, the connection with Mercury and Uranus happens TWICE (on the 8th and 29th).
January 12 — Venus in Aquarius Sextile Chiron in Aries —

these topics now can help you bring in the resolutions. A nice social interaction could bless you with a self-esteem boost by showing you that people notice the awesomeness you are bringing.

Aspects to Be Extra Careful & Awareful:
January 11 + 27 — Mercury in Capricorn Square Chiron in Aries —
Because Mercury is retro then direct this month, this clash with Chiron happens twice. Look out for bumps to your certainty during these times. These experiences can be productive in the way that a vulnerability may be revealed which can help you to do deeper work on it. Someone may be unkind at this time. There is the chance that there is some truth to what they are
saying but just not with the best delivery. If you are the person confronting another about something you have an issue with, take care to use words that you won’t regret. These transits may make it harder to put your best foot forward.
January 14 — Venus in Aquarius Square Uranus in Taurus — Shocking behavior could bring unwelcome surprises. The urge to be erratic or tell someone off may be high. Sudden expenses or lack of discernment with money could occur. In the time before now, if you have an opportunity to save a bit of money, it may help make this time smoother. This may not the best time to confront someone on a topic you have great charge about.
Notable Neutral Aspects which Could Go Either Way:
December 31/January 1 and 18 — Venus and then the Sun Conjunct Pluto in Capricorn — Transformation is afoot in your relationship space or in you financial experience. This combination which could bring profound love or fortune has an equal chance of bringing conflict (even danger) into your love life or major challenging test to your money sector. A time of intensity when anything in these sectors could see
notable impact, for better or worse. This transit is also great for inner work that gets at the root of negative patterns that have been a hindrance in your life. Positive change can definitely be ready to burst through but it is also important to take care and stay safe. This aspect can make tempers flare. If you are getting that intuition to stay home New Years night, or any other “gut feeling” that you have is extra important to honor right now.
January 6 — Full Moon at 16° of Cancer — Fullness, completion, fruition, drama, and manifestation come to all Cancer topics, such as - home, family,

January 12 — Mars direct at 8° of Gemini — Things that lost fizzle or ambition any time from September 2022 through now could begin to light up again. There is still from now until early March before Mars regains full steam but every day from this day through then will bring more oomph and gusto or clarity to your decisions and actions. Renewed enthusiasm could come to topics that fell far into the backdrop in previous months. See the end of this
report for more info on the energies present during Mars retro. Even though it is officially direct as of January 12th, the manifestations it tends to bring may still be present as it regains its full speed between now and early March.
January 18 — Mercury direct at 8° of Capricorn — After a few days of additional chaos from the direction change, Mercury moving direct will start to make it much easier to make plans and have clarity about which direction to point your planning. Mercury is completely back up to speed by February 8, which marks the beginning of the window of racing forward with all of the usual
planets we track all moving forward. Things can happen quickly and anything that seemed like it fell hopelessly behind can advance rapidly, making up for and surpassing its previous pace or goal. February, March and early April are some of the best times in a long time and the best window of the year for forward movement and accomplishment, plus clarity of purpose and direction.
January 21 — New Moon at 1° of Aquarius (Chinese New Year) — Time to plant seeds or notice new beginnings in any area of life, especially those ruled by Aquarius, such as: friends, acquaintances, social connection in person or online, social media, internet-based

January 22 — Venus and Saturn Conjunct in Aquarius — Something
that has been at work for a long time, or something new that has a long timeline ahead could be brewing in a big way! Something could gel or manifest that brings great joy and feeling of accomplishment. The other side of this potential is that sternness or criticism could come in money or love. This could zap self-certainty. The good news is that if the person who brings this criticism has a happen of bursting your bubble, you may be finally ready to protect yourself by not sharing information
with them that they could turn around and use against you. You are more powerful than you think in this situation and a big positive change could be just a decision away.

Mars rules ambition, impetus, energy levels, initiation, aggression, and metal. When Mars is offline for the extended period of time of its full retrograde cycle, the general recommendations are to avoid instigating in
any topic of rulership. So Mars retro is not the best time to launch a new project (although it is fine for experimentation without attachment), initiating new things (unless they come to you and you are unattached to the outcome or it is intended to be a casual or short-term project), hope to have ambition or impetus (often we get lazy at this time so waiting for this time to get things done might not give you the drive you were hoping for), moving forward on projects that involve other peoples
participation (they are less likely to show up and may be less productive than you hope), initiating an act of aggression, like a lawsuit (fights instigated under the Mars retro transit tend to not favor the one initiating the suit or fight), new things involving metal - so ALL things made of metal are better to not be messed with and only deal with issues as they come but not the best time to purchase new machinery, devices, etc. - this also includes scissors and needles so new
barber/hairdresser, or new hairstyles or body art - are all best to stick with the previous version or practitioners. Voluntary or cosmetic surgeries may also be better as far away from the personal planet retrogrades as possible. Please note that any surgeries that are medically necessary or advised as timely by your doctor to not wait on in order to prevent or stop an issue that was starting to progress should be proceeded with according to your intuition,
research, medical guidance regardless of the astrological transits.
