September 2022 Astrology ~ 6 TRINES = BRILLIANT NEWS DELIVERED ON INCOMING TIDES (+ ECLIPSE SEASON BEGINS and more!)

 

Here are some top points to know about the September 2022 Astrology. See my September 2022 Horoscope videos/podcasts for more details and also in the date specific notes towards the end of this written report:

 

 

1. Around equal sweet vs. salty aspects this month. This makes the month very neutral so your attitude and perspective can really tilt your experience of the transits.

 

2. Eclipse season begins. The potentials for exciting breakthroughs and big trajectory shifts that eclipse tend to bring start ramping up now.

 

There is a Solar Eclipse at 2° of Scorpio on October 25 and a Lunar Eclipse on November 8 at 16° of Taurus. Eclipse “season” begins around 4-6 weeks before the first eclipse in the series, opening up the season early in September.

 

The “Me/We” polarity and “my stuff/our stuff” polarity are coming up strongly with this whole eclipse cycle which started at the latter part of 2021 and goes through 2023.

 

There will also be additional themes coming up based on the houses affected for each sign. I will give specifics about this in my October 2022 and November 2022 horoscopes.

 

3. We are getting closer to the orb of influence of Saturn Square Uranus will make their last connection. We will feel this most strongly in October and November but the energies may start to pick up momentum in September. See my video on the topic to better understand this.

 

4. The tides are now flowing in for an extended period of time (until March 2023). Between now and then, Mars retrograde will take front and center stage and we will have three Mercury retrograde transits, the first being from September 10 through October 2 (with the pre-transit shadow period starting August 22 and the post-transit shadow period stretching until October 17).

 

From September until March of 2023, the inward and backward energies of retrograde are supported by us being the spider ~ sitting back working quietly in the back drop while we see what food comes to us.

 

Imagine when it is retrograde, that you are on a beach with the tide coming in. The tide is bringing in great things, like shells, and not great things, like garbage. Similarly, the retrogrades will roll you in things from the past, difficult things like unresolved karmic patterns, challenges, and unfinished projects; and wonderful things, like friends, family, ways you used to have fun, or locations that feel like home or are otherwise nostalgic. If you try to put something out while the tides are coming in, their journey will be shorter than expected and  will bob right back to you. This quick return, like playing fetch with a dog in the water, can be perfect for certain things, like projects intended to be short-term, creativity for the sake of it (without an intended outcome), or a low stakes marketing experiment where very little is invested but returns could be high with very little risk.

 

My favorite aspect of the retrograde time is the increased chance for last-minute magic! The way you can most receive these gifts from the Universe is to try to leave yourself as unscheduled as possible so that you can say YES to sudden opportunities to do awesome things.

 

Mars only goes retrograde around every 2.2 years so when it does, its shadow periods and actual retrograde are longer than the retrograde cycles of Mercury or Venus.

 

Mars pre transit shadow period begins September 4, the actual retrograde begins October 30 and goes through January 18, 2023 with the post retrograde shadow period stretching until March 15, 2023. The transit will move from 25° back to 8° of Gemini.

 

 

Mars rules ambition, impetus, energy levels, initiation, aggression, and metal. When Mars is offline for the extended period of time of its full retrograde cycle, the general recommendations are to avoid instigating in any topic of rulership. So Mars retro is not the best time to launch a new project (although it is fine for experimentation without attachment), initiating new things (unless they come to you and you are unattached to the outcome or it is intended to be a casual or short-term project), hope to have ambition or impetus (often we get lazy at this time so waiting for this time to get things done might not give you the drive you were hoping for), moving forward on projects that involve other peoples participation (they are less likely to show up and may be less productive than you hope), initiating an act of aggression, like a lawsuit (fights instigated under the Mars retro transit tend to not favor the one initiating the suit or fight), new things involving metal - so ALL things made of metal are better to not be messed with and only deal with issues as they come but not the best time to purchase new machinery, devices, etc. - this also includes scissors and needles so new barber/hairdresser, or new hairstyles or body art - are all best to stick with the previous version or practitioners. Voluntary or cosmetic surgeries may also be better as far away from the retrogrades as possible. Please note that any surgeries that are medically necessary or advised as timely by your doctor to not wait on in order to prevent or stop an issue that was starting to progress should be proceeded with according to your intuition, research, medical guidance regardless of the astrological transits.

 

Some other topics that Mars retro may bring front and center are:

 

Unresolved or seemingly random anger, aggression, arguments, gallbladder/liver issues, surgeries, issues with machinery.

 

5. Strong Virgo energies continue this month bringing a critical eye towards creative expression that could tremendously help manifestation.

This is a fantastic time to get back to old routines that worked in the past and try some low stakes experiments to add vitality to your daily experience.

Strengthening discipline and getting organized are two more great ways to use this energy.

 

6. Mars in Gemini for a very extended period of time continue to bring restlessness and a focus on communication (including great energy for writing). Travel plans may stall out or in some way be restricted. It is a great time for stay-cations or trips that are more local. Travel is more likely to bring you back to places you have been before.

 

The Gemini energies can also bring vacillation or uncertainty, a prolonged feeling of having to decide between options or waiting for some news whose outcomes could set you on two completely different trajectories. Distraction may also abound. Doing short spurts of action steps may carry you further than trying to sit in one place for too long without a break.

 

 

7. There are 6 Earth Trines and 1 Air Trine this month. These trines bring lots of chances for mega-manifestation to show up, especially from past actions taken. These trines give 5 mega chance for brilliant news to roll in to you on the incoming tides.

Sweet boosts are more likely on or around these days: 1, 11, 17, 18, 19-20, 22-23, 25, 26, 27, and 28

Drama or stress are more likely in the days around: 1, 2, 7, 9, 12, 16, 17, 18, 20, 24, and 26

September 1 - 2 -- Mars in Gemini Sextile Jupiter in Aries - Venus in Leo Inconjunct Pluto in Capricorn - Mercury in Libra Opposing Jupiter in Aries -- Under the Sextile, you are likely to feel enthusiastic, jovial, and determined, which may kindle a pioneering spirit within you. Just be mindful of Mercury's upcoming retrograde motion. It may be best to direct this energy to research projects or educational pursuits. There may also be some awkward energy regarding your own creative visions relative to the harsher expectations of society, which may be calling you to refine something within yourself before taking action. Lastly, the opposition may be pushing you to find a greater balance between your desire for social stimulation or joint ventures and your desire for personal expansion or refinement.

 

September 7 -- Sun in Virgo Inconjunct Chiron in Aries -- There may be an imbalance at work between your efforts to meet the needs of others and your capacity to maintain your own state of wellbeing. You could glimpse an opportunity to make a correction today, and it won't be the first or last time this month where you may feel you need a small course correction.

 

September 9 — Mercury Retrograde Begins — Venus in Virgo Inconjunct Jupiter in Aries  — When Mercury goes retrograde (and for around a couple of weeks before and after), communication and technology become more susceptible to disruption. Because of this, it is wise to hold off on signing long-term contracts, launching anything of importance, or entering into any situation that depends on everything going "as planned." Instead, it is better to use this time for research, planning, and the slow and steady development of clear visions.  Additionally, due to the inconjunction, there may be some confusion regarding your part in the fulfillment of someone else's desires or expectations, and your responsibility for your own personal wellbeing, health, and growth. A balance is meant to be found but finding it may require some work.

September 10 — Full Moon at 17° degrees of Pisces — Fullness, completion, fruition, drama, and breakthroughs are more likely in the days around this Full Moon. The energies could manifest in any area of life and there is especially increased magnetism for Piscean topics, such as: dreams, addictions, artistic endeavors, psychology, the after-life, and angels and guides. Full moons can often bring water where it shouldn’t be, especially full moons in water like this one. The water could be literal, like crazy weather, flooding, or pipe issues, or symbolic with water representing emotions. This is sure to be an extra emotional time, either with stress or joy being in great excess.

September 11 — Sun in Virgo Trine Uranus in Taurus — The energy of this transit is confident, bright, and strong. You are likely to feel a bit of an innovative streak on this day, and would do well to run a few safe experiments. You could come upon some very exciting findings.

 

September 12 -- Sun in Virgo Inconjunct Saturn in Aquarius -- This transit is likely to help you identify a place in which discipline and structure are slightly lacking. The setting for this lesson will probably be your work environment, or an institution of society. Alternatively, something involving pets or other animals could come up.

 

September 16 -- Venus in Virgo Square Mars in Gemini - Sun in Virgo Opposing Neptune in Pisces -- The square can either bring disharmony to your partnerships, or strengthen the bonds that sustain them.  In either case, there is likely to be an increase in passion. Whether this passion simply heats the fires of conflict, or is used for welding and mending purposes is up to everyone involved. The opposition may tempt you to settle for an inaccurate perception of something, which could leave to susceptible to deception.  Before you resign yourself to something unsatisfactory, take a few deep breaths, and look closer.

 

September 17 -- Venus in Virgo Inconjunct Chiron in Aries - Mars in Gemini Trine Chiron in Aries -- There may again be an imbalance between your efforts to meet the needs of others and your capacity to maintain your own state of health and wellbeing. At this point, you are likely to physically feel the pattern at work within you, and with the help of the trine, you are more likely to make the necessary modifications.

 

September 18 -- Mercury in Libra Opposing Jupiter in Aries - Sun in Virgo Trine Pluto in Capricorn --  With Mercury moving in reverse, you revisit this Sextile in which you are likely to feel enthusiastic, jovial, and determined. This may kindle a pioneering spirit within you, but remember that it may be best to channel this energy into research projects or educational pursuits. In fact, the trine also makes this an especially favorable time for personal reflection, transformation, and refinement. If you find yourself stressed, stretched, and overwhelmed from the opposition, know that from the trine, extra support is more likely now. Asking for help or seeing where resources may be present may result in very positive outcomes.

 

September 19 - 20 -- Venus in Virgo Trine Uranus in Taurus - Venus in Virgo Inconjunct Saturn in Aquarius -- While the Trine will make it easy for you to connect with others and feel what they are feeling, the inconjunction may create a bit of confusion around what these feelings mean. Misunderstandings are more likely than usual. Therefore, it will be best to refrain from jumping to conclusions. The best way to use this energy may be found in more personal, creative, or artistic endeavors, but this doesn't mean such things cannot be shared.   This could actually be a wonderful opportunity to share in the appreciation of something beautiful with someone you love. A spontaneous idea could work out very well.

 

September 22 - 23 -- Sun Conjunct Mercury in Libra and Fall Equinox (Spring Equinox for those ‘down under’) -- This is a great transit for concentration and study, but also compromise and reconciliation. The accumulation and integration of necessary information will be easier than usual to do on this day, and presents an opportunity to create balance along the many spectrums of your life. Partnership opportunities could shine exceptionally bright. Working on clearing out clutter or finishing up old projects with a companion could be especially fruitful.

 

September 24 -- Venus in Virgo Opposing Neptune in Pisces -- You may feel the awkward combination of detachment and longing on this day. If you pay attention to what is going on at a very deep level, this transit could create the space for a shift in focus, one that could have you move from feeling unfulfilled to feeling inspired. There is also an increased chance of deception or security issues involving love or money. Guard your prized possessions, especially your heart.

 

September 25 -26 -- New Moon at 2° of Libra - Venus in Virgo Trine Pluto in Capricorn - Mercury Conjunct Venus in Virgo - Sun in Libra Opposing Jupiter in Aries -- This New Moon is all about envisioning and creating balance. You can expect it to first draw your attention to current imbalances, and then to potential solutions.  Subjects like fairness, esthetics, and diplomacy are likely features. The trine increases the probability of success, and the conjunction gives you greater tact and eloquence. However, the opposition may tempt you to overstep, or overestimate yourself. It is a power-packed moon with several coinciding notable aspects, my favorite of which is a very exciting trine between Venus and Pluto, which could bring outstanding events in love or money. I love Mercury and Venus conjunct in Virgo for major focus to attend to important business. The Sun/Jupiter opposition could have you overpromising or working extra hard to balance your own needs and your commitments to others (this is a major theme this month that we see being reiterated through many different aspects).

 

September 27 -- Mercury in Virgo Trine Pluto in Capricorn -- This Trine can give you a great deal of the strength you need to face the most difficult challenges, increase comprehension and develop expertise. Any especially demanding intellectual work is favorable under this transit. Favorable news could be delivered on the incoming tides. Hard work done now or in the past can go very far now.

 

September 28 -- Mars in Gemini Trine Saturn in Aquarius -- This Trine gifts you with a boost of energy and enthusiasm while expanding upon your capacity for reason. That can be used to make important decisions with confidence and find success, but remember the implications of Mercury in Retrograde. The incoming tides of the double retrograde energies could bring inspiration translated into action. It is exceptionally good for writing or other projects that brings ideas into instant form.
